How this feature is still in the game is beyond me.

Can you please, please, remove the fact that each and every new and useless item is added on the hotbar??? Or at least a way to turn it on/off, for controller it's annoying, and I'm being polite.

Look in the options all the way down. There you can do it.

Under Gameplay options. This feature is still broken. It needs some fine tuning.
