I ve started playing Divine Divinity... what to say really good game, I started with mage... and im not even in 1/5fth of the game, but just i didnt started much good cause ive used trainer to get through the dungeon to free Mardaneus from his madness, now i feel a bit guilty and want to start over.
So have two questions, which character would be best? (what to You think)
and are there any horses or dragons on which u can fly? or ride?
Thanks

I believe the mages have it the easiest in the beginning of the game mainly because of their Meteor spell. However, i do believe that warriors become the best character from the middle to the end of the game.

Yes aggree mage is best at the beginning. I found a spellbook elemental hail in Mardaneus house the second time I played, so the dungeon became rather easy. I would also suggest you use a bow at the beginning of the game, so you take less hits be monsters

However warriors are prone to die when they met someone who has an attack that deals great amount of health...
Warrior cant fight really well at a distance though...
So which one should i choose also?

IMO it depends on the style you fight. If you chose distance fighting take a mage, if you are a close combat fighter chose a warrior

I played the first game as a Mage and used a bow for a long time in the game.
The second game I played as a warrior, after I got the stats (strengths, agility) to use better weapons (singing blade, balde of chaos) I was just unstopable.
IMO the warrior was easier, the lack of mana you have with the warrior can be overcome with some charms and you find tons of potions to fill up mana during the fights

Read differences between classes.
Maybe it can help you to decide which is the best.

And you can't ride horses or dragons, but you'll confront few dragonriders in game. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
