So i've run into a problem,
The map I'm making is set up with proper lights and lightprobes.
it all look fine in the editor and GM mode.
however, as soon as I change atmosphere in GM mode the light Dies.
it's like the lightprobes are not there and the light from the lightsources are just dim and don't spread any light... it's all black.

The map consists of multiple areas, both inside and outside.
The buildings are tall and the roofs are set to not fade to preserve the illusion of entering a large building.

Am I right to presume that GM mode don't support maps that uses lightprobes and roofs that don't fade? should i leave the interior open to the sky for the general light to dictate the atmosphere? and are lightprobes not supported in GM mode once you change atmosphere from the initial one?

Did you "render all lightprobes" ?
Also the "quality" of light seems to depend on the atmosphere being used. Some won't show any lightsources at all except for the default atmosphere light.
Publishing something with the "ATM_Default" atmosphere is generally a bad idea in my expeience.

GM Mode supports both see through, fading and non-fading walls and roofs.
I suggest using "see hrough" for all walls, and fading for roofs and/or upper floors.
You could experiment with opacity to contain the illusion of tall buildings.

It's tricky to get right , but works rather well once you do.

Im continuing my quest for answers.
I have both generated the AI grid and all Lightprobes... same result.

I've watched it more closely today when I change the atmosphere in GM mode with my map.
When I change the atmosphere all shadows in the map gets really black just like if you don't render the lightprobes in the editor and the game gets sluggish.
Could you shed some light on this Larian? (no pun intended) smile

This is the only thing holding me back from publishing my map that i have been working on for many many hours..... hundreds.

Well.... i figured it out. The "problem" is the size of my map.
It is so large that it takes roughly 30 to 40 seconds for the atmosphere to take effect once you change it in GM mode.
The lightprobes are recalculated for the new atmosphere and you can notice it by the sluggishnes of the game as it's calculating the light.

well its time to publish then smile I'll have to explain this in the discription.
