I need help!! My death knight is at lvl 7, and knows one handed-melee slash skills. Lets say, I walk up to a merchant that is willing to sell me a one handed melee skill slash specialty. What would happen if I purchased a skill that I already have? I know this is confusing, I'm sorry. I purchased the skill thinking that it would give me some type of statistical boost, but the only thing that I noticed is that I was short of 4000 gold.

Any ideas? Thanks!

I'm not sure about this, but from what I understand, you might have bought the ability to put more points into that skill.

However, if you already had it as high as needed, that would be redundant.

I believe the number after the training value is the skill cap you get from that trainer. I've seen as high as 15.

Skillbooks only seem to let you get level 2 of a skill--I can't raise Identify past 2, and I've never found a trainer for it, so...

The weapons officer in the citadel (north east of the entrance) teaches Identify to level 5.

Jolly, max for 1-hand is lvl 10 - you get it in Act 2.
