Hello everyone,
First of all, sorry for being late to the party, as I've recently finished D:OS I and I'm attempting to purchase D:OS II.

Here what bothers me and I'd love some clarification, since the FAQ does not exactly answer my question.

1. If I buy D:OS II right now ( from gog. lets say ).
Will I be able to upgrade it to the Definitive Edition?
2. It not, do I have to buy Steam version only?
3. Do I have to buy the game before the Definitive Edition release, or doesn't matter?

Thanks in advance!

1. Absolutely, yes. No change between Steam or GOG smile.
2. See above.
3. I think it doesn't matter. Buy the game now and you get the DE, get the DE and you should get also the original.

I hope, you will have as much as fun as I did smile.

You will indeed get both versions of the game regardless of when you buy it. However, there is one difference between buying before and after the release of the Definitive Edition: it won't include the Sir Lora pre-order DLC if you buy it after.

1. There is a big difference on a specific case between Steam and GOG release.

Steam gives you the possibility to play as "on console" with Steam Controller or other kind of controller.

GOG doesn't. The game works actually, you can mouve the mouse and the UI is the one of PC release, but you can't split the screen for example.

I had to buy the game a third time for this.
