I must say it's probably my fault for editing the layout all the time and saving new paterns.

Still I need the AI Grid Panel now and the button wont pop it up anymore.
I noticed that it tells me that no level is loaded when I click on it (when that's true), so it must be the panel.
I can't find the shortcut. I don't want to mess things up.

I had the issue before but reloading the editor did the trick then. Do I reinstall the engine plain and simple ?

you can try deleting the dockpanel config by going into your editor's installation folder /Config and deleting the "DockPanelConfig.config" file there
