I've heard Larian is releasing a Mac OS X version of the D2DE and was wondering if anybody has heard if they will release the Engine for Mac OS X also?

I created an adventure Mod a few months ago when I had a Windows machine, but now I'm back on my main machine which is a Mac and I'd love to make some more adventures. I don't have enough space on my Mac to make a Windows partition either and I'm hoping for better native system performance anyway.

Cheers,

SJ

Unfortunately, the Divinity Engine will not be released for Mac OS X. Unlike the game, its code base uses a lot of Windows-specific frameworks, so it would be much harder to port.

I understand, thank you for the reply.

That is very unfortunate, the game itself is superb, but my favourite is making new adventures with the Engine.
