Noticed a few bugs already in 1.4, don't know if any of these are new, some have probably been reported before:

When receiving a quest from a BF (Act I) NPC named "Annabelle" (clearly female in name and character model/picture), in my quest logs it refers to her as "he"

I received a quest to kill a Vorekoth from a BF (Act I) NPC named Olaf. The quest doesn't appear in my quest log. The other 4 quests I received do, though... (I think this bug is new, at least for me it is)

When bringing up my conversation log (to review my conversation with Olaf), he says: An evil $NPC$ has been stalking our homes as of late... etc.

Shield item names don't contain the word "shield", though it seems like they probably should. They're just named stuff like "Round", "Royal", etc.

Parts of the Battlefields automap still go black at times.

When you go to load a game, isn't a screenshot supposed to appear in that upper right corner? It's just black for me. (This bug definitely isn't new)

I started this game from scratch with a fresh install of the game + 1.4 patch.

Except for the two quests with Olaf, I have seen the others with 1.32

For the black mini-map, I usually leave the BF and re-enter to get it fixed.

About Annabelle => I got this info=>
quests are randomly placed on traders, so gender was set on male, if it couldn't be avoided. I think, if all traders were male, this would ok be then?

Poor Larians, they will have to change all gender text then - this might be a lot of work.

Yes, this is something definitely missing in BD => a chicken farm. Larians! Please, fix this - it's a huge bug <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/badsmile2.gif" alt="" />

Just noticed at one point just now, part of my minimap went blank too, so it's not just the automap.

Walking around usually fixes it...

I've run into a major bug in 1.4. I've posted it on another forum, so I'm going to just cut & paste (sue me, I'm tired).

Well, 1.4 is out and fixes a lot of the major problems, including the empty Act I battlefield II... but undid the old fix that stopped summoning doll inventory from disappearing. At the same time, this has added a potential alternate way to upgrade the dolls. Any equipment on the doll continues to affect its stats after it disappears, allowing you to add more weapons and armor. If this too disappears, the new stats stack.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that when I bought the Sharpen skill on the BF, I got some weapon skills instead <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/memad.gif" alt="" />

What triggers the summoning doll inventory bug?

I was using my doll as a mule to carry some items etc tonight, and its inventory never vanished, through many summonings and a couple map changes...

Yup my dolll lost everything it has in his inventory and on himself.
At start the weight was lie everything was there, now it's 0, like it was empty but i cant put anything new in the inventory anymore.
(Before installing 1.4 patch, the doll was encumbred.)

No it's just useless, no equip, no inventory, only the 2 skill points can be used for something.

i've had the same problem as a couple of the posters on here.

Doll inventory disappears.

I didn't get my doll until i had installed patch 1.4 so i cannot say for certain the bug is caused by that..but its still very annoying.

when i resummon the skeleton the weight is 800/900 (approximately) so its carrying the items i've given it but they just dont show. there were a couple uniques aswell.. bah!!!!

My trigger was to unsummon the doll, then summon it at a later time. I never actually use the doll (with how quickly it times out I never found it effective) so I used it as a mule before the patch. After the patch I started a new game, got the doll, equipped it (2 rings, amulet, 2h staff, belt, gloves, leggings, shoes), packed it with some items (including a large shadow crystal for some STUPID reason , grr......) and unsummoned it. When I resummoned it to mule some items onto it its gear and encumberance were gone, but it still had the stats and greyed out sheild slot as if it was still equipped, and these stats persisted after I equipped more gear. I've been asked by a Larian rep to send in my save, so I am.

By the way, I've encountered more bugs. I'll cut and paste my findings (some may already have been seen):

The screenshot in the save/load plate is missing.

Battlefield quests that let you keep the item mentioned still may not clear from the quest list when completed.

*UNCONFIRMED* Purchasing a skill on the Battlefield may give you a different skill than listed. I purchased Sharpen and now I seem to have extra weapon skills, but no sharpen.

[color:"red"]Many walls in Act I Battlefield II may be one-way barriers and the game's pathing WILL run your characters into void space, trapping them. If you're not close to the exit, all you can do is reload. I'm guessing there are similar walls in other battlefields, so be careful. This explains why you may see monsters in inaccessible areas on the battlefield dungeons.

If a monster is killed near a wall (game or battlefield) its treasure may spawn in or behind the wall, making it impossible to retrieve.

The item "Shoes" is still 0 weight when similar items weigh 13. (may not be a bug, but makes no sense to me and I like game balance <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/memad.gif" alt="" />)

Arrow stacks still don't stack right if there's one unequipped and the primary ammo slot is empty.

Though the patch notes state that item weight problems have been fixed, I got the "this is too heavy" bug after identifying an item again.

*UNCONFIRMED* When I had my doll out and it was flashing (about to despawn) I walked through a doorway its summon time reset, allowing me to keep it out longer.

Of all the random static objects spawned in Act I Battlefield II, barrels with keys on top are scattered throughout the dungeon. I don't know if it's just my game, but these keys have ABSOLUTELY no use. If someone finds a use for them, post it.

I found an item that reminds me of my days betatesting Diablo II. As I was exploring Act I, Battlefield II, Floor I, I hit ALT to scan for items and saw a Bone Spear. When I picked it up, however, I got the ring item SFX. When I checked my inventory there was a ring setting in the weapon section of my inventory with the exact stats of a bone spear, but when equipped it takes up a ring slot. It has no effect on my character (though if it had stats I'd like to see if they took effect, and I'm also wondering if the speed, accuracy, ect. modifiers take effect). If anyone wants to see this I can take a screenshot, but I hope they don't fix it, as I like finding bug items like this <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />[/color]

Don't kill me, I'm just used to huntung down bugs. I betatest a lot of games (go figure) and never ignore even small problems.

I have the same problem with the inventory of the summoning doll and have not found a solution for it either

Like I said, I was asked to send in my save. ForkTong, specifically. Hopefully we'll see a resolution to this, though I'll probably never get my large shadow crystal back *sob*
