Played single player for over an hour, no problems.

Started a co-op with a friend, after 10 mins or so my FPS drops to next to nothing. After a while, game crashes to desktop.

Ryzen 3600
nVidia 1060
16GB RAM
Samsung SSD
500Mbit internet

I would like to bump this issue, it's been happening to me since day one. After a while of perfect play, all the game drops to next-to-nothing fps, even the menu. If I wait a while, the game crashes. I have submitted the error but I would like to bring up this post, mainly because last night i was able to play only for a little span of time and this happened like four times.

My set up is similar to Ypnos:

i7-8700
nVidia 1060 6gb
16GB RAM
300Mbit internet

Edit: I just realized. Day one this happened only one time, then I played for two hours with no problems. After hotfix, this happened a lot more.

I have this issue too. The game runs smoothly for a few minutes, then the framework drops suddenly, making it unplayable.

My setup is:

Asus GL702 gaming laptop:
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
Intel Core i7 7700HQ @ 2.80GHz
16.0GB RAM @ 1197MHz
Motherboard: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. GL702VMK (U3E1)
Drive C - Windows boot: 238GB SAMSUNG MZVLW256HEHP-000H1 (SSD)
Drive D: - Steam (Baldur's Gate 3) installation drive - 931GB Crucial CT1000MX500SSD1 (SATA (SSD))
Graphics: 2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (ASUStek Computer Inc)

My issue may the same.

I play without issue for a while and then the game seems to freeze, catch its breath, and continue as normal. Sometimes, within that freeze it acknowledges mouse clicks so the characters sometimes end up charging into pools of fire or firing weapons randomly at points on the ground.

The issue does not appear to be fixed by lowering the graphics quality.

I'm on a PC using Windows 10 64-bit.
Intel Core i5-8600K CPU @ 3.60 GHz
16 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050

Quick question: has everyone with this issue tried DX11 or only Vulkan?

I keep a resource monitor overlay active and have noticed that the numbers creep up over a few hours (10-20%). Save and restart the game to correct. Have not had the no-FPS problem since.

Also, my nvidia driver updated and that introduced some bad glitching. Corpse model stretching, characters unable to stand still (twitching around) and hair... omg the hair... strands on the move. Rolling the driver back helped tremendously. It could all be coincidence.

An update on the matter: last days I've been playing with this issue no longer happening. Today I played for a few hours 'til it happened again. I assume that with the running of the patches and hotfixes this will happen less and less until it does not happen. Also, I have always experienced this issue using vulkan. There's always dx11 to try. Best wishes and happy gaming to all!
