Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Technical & Gameplay Problems Unable to talk to companion

At some point during my playthrough I stopped being able to interact with Astarion. Can't talk to him, more importantly I am unable to remove him from my party. Several more hours into the playthrough after reloading saves and restarting the game I am still unable to interact with Astarion and then it started happening with Wyll as well. It seems they are now permanent members of my party.

Edit#1. After starting a second playthrough and having the same thing happen I believe I determined the cause. If you initiate dialogue and switch companions while in dialogue I believe it causes this issue.
