Apparently, I'm not the only one who's had this problem:
http://www.larian.com/ubbthreads/sh...&sb=5&o=&fpart=1

Rings and amulets increase in weight the better they are; I've got orange quality rings that weigh in as much as 54 each, and amulets that weigh around 30-40. Not even Mr. T needs that much jewelry weight on him <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

I'm a little surprised that rings have a base weight of 6 anyway -- fruit weighs 1; shouldn't a ring, no matter how glitzy, weigh less than an apple?

i've run into it too. thus far, while i would enjoy this being fixed because i have sold some nice jewelry items because the weight was prohibitive and shouldn't have been, i have to say that charmed jewelry has been my focus so this really hasn't affected me that much, as it accomplishes the same or better than the static stuff.

Yes same here. I got several amulets weighing 207 to 217 and rings weighing up to 147. They should have tremendous strength requirement if it is not a bug <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

Actually, this isn't limited to rings and amulets at all. Check out these puppies (they're really nice items, too bad they weigh a friggin' ton):

Orange items generally seem to get this, although I've got a few heavier than normal yellows -- nothing of this scale, of course.

At 213 pounds, I can see why that amulet would be particularly good at smashing (cough).

ROFL <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ROFL.gif" alt="" /> Fable! You're sooooo bad. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" /> (Thanks for the belly laugh. I needed it!)

213 pounds for a pair of gloves!?! 213 pounds for an amulet?!? Wowie. You wouldn't need to wear anything else. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/party.gif" alt="" />
