In two playthroughs i have been unable to take any of of the magic initiate feats with Fighter (BattleMaster).
I can with Rogue (Arcane Trickster), Wizard and Warlock.
I am not proficient in Dnd 5e lorecraft skills so .....can a BM take magic initiate?
Are there any stat requirements? (int/cha/wis)?
Is it allowed in dnd5e but not in BG3....or am i missing the bleeding obvious?
Thanks

seems to be a bug or some strange larian rework. As of 5e anyone is elegible to take Magic Initiate without prerequisites: first and foremost because the feat's intent is to give some minor magic to all prossible characters, then because ability requirements for spells is no more and quite some spells dont require your spellcasting stat for theyr effect to begin with

OK thanks kasakoff.

If thats an official Larian "homebrew" rule change.. not the end of the world for me.. but maybe a list of what Larian and Wotc have agreed to be rule changes to be tested during Early Access could be shared with the players of the EA.

Actually that might solve a lot of "this isnt in the dnd53 rules" discussion or "this is broken/ not working" discussion.

i dont see any reasons for this to be a rework, most likely is a bug
