Mine works and I am enjoying my game as per usual :\

My BF just updated as well, he said his update was considerably smaller than mine and his game is working fine, loaded last save and all. What the heck?

I am also having the same issues. Everytime i try to open a save it just crashes the game

+ ill start a new play till the fix

Start a new game and load a game from a game?

Same here. Unable to log into my most recent saves. Characters were in the Underdark. Running on DX11

Odd, my game is working fine.
I have a GOG version, update was 460MB.

Tried that, no luck. I can load the new game's save, but can't load an older save.

Does that mean steam is broken? Not the first time hey!

yeah im looking at those patch notes and dont see what it could be...Im on steam btw and its working. Tiefling male, Zariel. Wyll, Gale, Astarion, level 2; in the grove.

Let me go try to reload from other locations and see if it has something weird with that

edit: nope, reloaded ship, druid goblin fight, crashed ship, and druid circle (several locations). No issues

Again, random fact: BG3 is using 6.5 gigs of RAM right now

I am lvl 4 and maybe 6-7 hours overall in the game.
Maybe it has to do something with the story progress.

Add me to the list of affected players.
Time to try a new class I suppose.

All my saves PRIOR to killing the hag and/or saving the druid (halsin) will load. All my saves after doing either of those tasks will not load including my most current save with characters in the Underdark. Saves in the goblin camp or anything else I did after killing the hag will not load (characters will in the middle of level 3, final save they are all max level 4). Running DX11

Game Crashes on loading any Quicksave, or Saved game.


15+Hrs of Gameplay.


Playing on a PC with 2 RTX2080Ti. 32 inch 4K Monitor.
Intel i99920, 64GB
Windows 10 Enterprise.

All Drivers updated.

Was working well before this patch.

Same issue here, tried Vulkan and DX11, still crashing.

gpu: Nvidia GTX 960
cpu: Ryzen 5 3600
ram: 32 Go

Launching in admin doesn't change any thing.

Patch is being reverted on Steam and GOG until fixes are made for savegame issues.
