So there an option to not rescue Laz'ael and I was not going to use her for this playthrough so I decided to see what happens.

The 2 Tiefling plan to escort her to the Grove but this is Laz'ael so she becomes hostile and attacks us.

After she died, took her stuff.

I am going to see how this progresses, looking for differences.

I wonder how the Gith at the mountain pass will react to me wearing Gith armor? smile

In my last playthrough, I decided to do an anti-infection character where I killed every single infected character I came across, meaning I killed all my companions. I ended up doing a super stealth solo ranger for that run lol.

So gales little problem did not explode?

I sometimes use thought experiments. I don't necessarily believe in every idea I post for discussion on this forum

I don't know if you got all the tadpoles, they can be sneaky. To be safe, you best kill every humanoid to can find!

You can choose to attack all of them. You can piss Shadowheart off enough to attack you, you can attack Gale and Asterion on sight, you can piss Wyll off with certain story decisions, and you can piss Laz'ael off at a couple points too. I accidentally killed Shadowheart just by being a big enough dick to her when I met her lol.

I was surprised Laz'ael turned hostile but I am happy that they are not protected. hopefully there will be fallout / story events for getting them killed.

I came very close to killing Laz'ael during one dialog encounter with an NPC, where I stopped her from a particular action and she berated me as a subordinate who wouldn't follow orders.

The following dialog let me order her to stand down because we were equals and I wasn't her subordinate. But that pissed me off enough that I was tempted to just kill her where she stood, instead of dismissing her from the party back in camp.

Which is probably the kind of thing Larian intended, and that's cool. But not at this stage of the game. Without another front-line melee companion, I didn't really have that option because I needed her in the front line. Maybe when the game opens up with more companions that will be an easier choice.
