The one thing that would be great addition to this already fun game is if we could get a tutorial/ origin story for each of the backgrounds.
Imagine the replay if all characters got an hour start before the "Event Happens" feels a bit of regular life in the realms around Baldur's gate. One thing people like to do is create their own alternate persona. By only having the Origins for the playable voiced companion/character you miss what many people want out of a roleplaying experience.

Ideas
1. Soldier: Your working a shift on the docks section investigating a missing child. You have a gruff sergeant at arms ordering you around and you get to interact with the world (maybe even buy equipment that suits you) while doing a small tutorial on shove, combat, ranged, stealth and spell casting. Just as your about to rescue the kid the tentacles come down......you watch the merchant you just bought the helm from die, you see a beloved street walker burnt by dragon fire......Give you a real hatred for there illthids coming to steal the people of Baldurs gate.
2. Acolyte. You are sent to the docks district to feed the poor. In reality your looking into a strange undead energy that your superiors have brought up. Same thing as before. A tutorial of the basic spells, combat, shove and actions to help the 5 million or so new dnd players that will get exposed to this game understand the system.
