My Vote: Warlock Hexbalde

Hello Larian and Community,

What do you guys think to let us choose the upcoming classes and subclasses?

Would be nice to have an official poll, but since we don't have it just saying here and why.

Please guys type the quote bellow before your comment to make it easier to read your pick:

No Unearthed Arcana should be up.

Only stuff that has been polished enough to be published in something that isn't playtesting material.

I think Druid would be viable since they already have a Major Druid NPC implemented:

My Vote: Paladin Conquest

Combining Aid and armor of Agathys would make a perfect tank.

If we are just talking about sub classes...

My Vote: War Cleric

Or outright classes id prefer Pala or Druid. Love both classes alot and it seems druids are already in the game given the druid camp :P

I'm torn on this, as there are several I would love to see, and I have different answers for if we're talking Subclass or Class

Subclass - My Vote: Bladesinger

Class I'm having a harder time deciding. I'd really like Bard (particularly College of Glamour). Though there's a good likelihood that I'll be rolling Bard at full launch so I may end up waiting on it anyways.

Also problematic is that both of the subclasses I want are not from the PHB and we have no clue if they'll be added or not.

I would like to remind people that they have said they are most likely only sticking to PHB, so let's not suggest anyone beyond that.

I suspect they will release these as they become done. Not that the current classes feel "done" either, but it seems they released the "origin classes" first, and ranger. (Ranger actually feel the most thought out and functioning classes)

Personally I want to play a Paladin. So that get's my vote smile

They have only said they're aiming for PHB, which is why I hesitated to mention ones from other books. I decided against limiting myself to PHB though, as I don't think it means we shouldn't mention ones we would like to see from other books, as the more people speak about non-PHB subclasses the more visibility they get, and the more we can at least hope we may get at least some of them.

You're likely right about them releasing classes as they're "done" as well. It's really the only thing that would make sense.

Paladin is a great pick too. I was torn between Bard or Paladin personally.

Class: Barbarian or paladin

Subclass: War domain (cleric) if we're limited to PHB stuff, Swashbuckler (rogue) otherwise

My vote: Monk, any subclass

Being in the Player's Handbook, I know it will get added eventually but I'm a little impatient here. Also, even though they aren't from the Player's Handbook, but from Xanathar's Guide to Everything and Unearthed Arcana respectively, I'd really like to see the Kensei and the Soul Knife subclasses. Both of them wouldn't be to difficult to plausibly include, given BG3's setting and story, in my opinion.

My votes in the following order:
1. I vote for Monk: Way of Shadow.
2. Followed by NPC: Barbarian which would necessitate a PC Barbarian option.
3. Also, if they do Xanathar's Guide Stuff Sorcerer: Shadow Magic.
4. If they do Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide Arcana Domain for Cleric.
5. Blade-singer (Cantrips from Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide as well.)
