Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) Technical Problems Been Testing a new v1.43 CTD problem

I have been testing this problem several times and here is the result:

In Citadel level 3 there is a large trapped room to the South side of the map. The room has several traps and a lever in the NorthEast corner of the room.

If you use a Summoning doll to trigger the traps it is an instant Crash-To-Desktop. But if your DK or your Hero triggers the traps, there is no problem (except some vitality loss of course).

I tried this problem 3 times with a Summoning Doll, and 3 times without using the Summoning Doll.

I had the same problem in 1.42 with traps anywhere, but haven't used my doll for anything but a mule in 1.43 since encumberance and stats have been fixed. Have you seen this problem in any rooms other than Citadel 3's trap room?

That is the only place I have tried it so far. But there is also a problem with CTD when trying to equip/unequip items from the Summoning Doll... I read it, and encountered it myself.

Was this on a patched save? Clean save and my doll's equipemtn works perfectly. What you're describing happened to me during 1.42, but not now.

This was on my 2nd game which I started with Patch v1.42 last night, and Patch v1.43 installed this morning. As you can see by the posts regarding Summoning Dolls posted today on the Forum, people are having problems with the Summoning Dolls in other areas as well.

In my first game I always used Summoning Dolls when I encountered traps, and used them as mules constantly (changing their equipment quite frequently). Both instances result in CTD now, so I just no longer use them and all is good so far <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
