Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Technical & Gameplay Problems Crash: Can no longer load game

As of last night (about 12 hours ago) I can no longer load a game. It crashes halfway through loading following hitting either "Continue" or "Load Campaign".

I'm having the same issue mostly. Quick saves and Autosaves crash but normal saves work. Have you noticed a difference between the different types of saves?

I encountered this issue as well and noticed a potential issue with Steam cloud sync.

Saves with the Steam Cloud sync icon white (and that say "uploaded") load with no trouble.
Saves with the Steam Cloud sync icon gray (and that say "syncing") crash the game when I try to load them.

I have this issue too, but for me, all saves are grey and syncing so I cannot play now. I checked and other profiles are the same, 99% of the saves are grey. Making a new campaign also crashes it during the loading screen.
