I know we are in early access so there is probably a lot more coming here but I right now I don't feel like there are as many options for character creation and advancement as there were in DOS2.
I have tried most of the classes and while there are a lot of options in some classes (cleric and ranger) many of the options seem to be just for flavor and have very similar mechanics.
Some of the classes (rogue/figher) have very little customization, with no choices at all on some levels.
I realize this is probably straight out of 5e, but I dunno, honestly it feel kind of lame to click on the level up screen and just see that your it points went up and you have nothing to actually investigate or choose.
Maybe it's just me but I feel like we will need a lot more feats/spells/classes to outshine the customization of DOS2.
