I just happened to stop by the EBGames website this morning and was disappointed at the reviews of listed under that software title page. There are few reviews there, and most are very bad reviews posted by people who have not even played the game. If I had just read the reviews thinking about buying the game I would avoid it like the plague.

This might be a good time to post some real reviews by real gamers to give people the truth about . I hate seeing a good game trashed by a bunch of knuckleheads.

Do you have a link to the reviews?

Are you sure, Grim? You strike me as an intelligent person. If someone came up to you when you were house-shopping and said, "I've never been in the house you're considering and don't know a thing about it or its neighborhood, but I hate it," I think you'd be inclined to ask whether they'd forgotten to take their daily meds. I know I'd do the same. If they never tried something, their "review" of it is by definition completely unfounded. And I can't help thinking anybody intelligent would feel the same way.

EBGames Beyond Divinity Page

Fable,

I, like many people, read customer reviews of any item I am considering purchasing over the internet. If I see too many bad customer reviews I will avoid a purchase until I learn more about the product. Unfortunately many customer reviews on internet sites are not based on product performance or quality, but on bias and misinformation by some people who have no idea what they are talking about. People depend on customer reviews and those reviews should be factual and true rather than total misinformation.

To use your logic, if someone says to you "Dell Computers are trash. They are horribly bug ridden, use inferior components that constantly break down, and are grossly overpriced" would you buy one? Probably not, even though the person who told you how bad they are has never owned, operated, or even seen a Dell Computer.

People make buying decisions based on the best information they can get, and more and more it seems that customer reviews on the internet are not always what they appear to be.

Oooh that makes me mad... All of the bad grades start with "Well, I downloaded the demo and...". Bafoons... all of them.

Finally, some factual reviews are now appearing on the EBGames website. I was suprised to see my review at the very top of the list. Hopefully we will see a lot of new faces on the forum very soon

Not so, quoth I. If someone said to me as you suggested, I would write off everything they said. (In fact, I've done so repeatedly. Not computers, mind you, but a lot of other things.) When the time came to purchase a computer, I would do my own research, including Dell, with no strikes against it.

Yeah I got to finish playing this game to write my review for PGNX. On www.gamerankings.com, Beyond Divinty has 80% not bad, so maybe my review will bring it up even more. So far I like this game.

I don't trust those EB Games reviews, or any of those kinds of reviews that anyone can just pop on and say what they want. I get a paranoid feeling that most of the bad reviews come from competitor companies. I get that feeling even more so when they're talking about console games, and there's pretty much always at least one person saying GET XBOX, SUCH AND SUCH SYSTEM SUXXX!!!@$#@ Don't trust those reviews. I'd read the professional ones instead. Beyond Divinity is a great game, the one I play the most these days, whether Larian's competitors think so or not.
