all I know is I want my Halfling to ride a Mastiff

Mastiffs are impressive hounds prized by Humanoids for their loyalty and keen Senses. Mastiffs can be trained as guard dogs, hunting dogs, and war dogs. Halflings and other Small Humanoids ride them as Mounts.

Traits
Keen Hearing and Smell: The mastiff has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or smell.

Actions
Bite: Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d6 + 1) piercing damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 11 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

If nothing else, maybe we get to see a mad halfling wizard with chaotic neutral tendencies, riding a mastiff somewhere in the game. It would make me happy too :P

A mount huh? Kinda early tbh.
The impatience is killing me too.
I curse it so much that its just EarlyAccess.

Totally expect that this game will at least be developed for another whole year or so before we even get an official release date.
Never forget we are playing/testing an "Alpha" here so to speak.

Even so...
... our group of Homies is a spaceshipwrecked bunch of homeless people on the run.
Where would they get mounts at this point in the game?
Not even the Tieflings have some.
And they are way more organized for the travel.


And in a wierd way this mirrors a more medieval fantasy world perfectly I think.
Mounts and such are for very wealthy, previliged people.
Not a bunch of washed up nobodys like our troop.

I did have a Winter Wolf & a Clay Golem that a rode in two different campaigns, maybe those.

I am quite confident mounts aren't even on Larians radar. It would be nice but with the current warp-camp and rest mechanics I think fast travel is superfluous. Buying an elephant or horse to carry/ride would be great if the mechanics remotely required it. I do like the idea of gnome rangers riding giant spiders and other acceptable lore additions. We could even test the long debated reduced (5th level spell) gnome riding his own magehand theory. 5-inch gnome flying around on his magehand sounds hilarious, wizzing around the room like a fairy casting fireballs sound like a build worth trying.

Yeah but after walking 6 months he got a flight back. The missing page in the book was the bit where he punched Gandalf in the balls 465 times for making him walk for 1800 miles when he could have just dropped him off. Then Gandalf the troll buggered off with the elves before the humans realised they lost 2/3 of their population when Gandy could have dropped the bloody ring in the top of the volcano.

I would call it open end for sequel.
