Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Technical & Gameplay Problems Min Spec loading/reloading issues

I am playing on a min spec machine (8g RAM) and it plays well enough once I get it loaded. Unfortunately, it takes 3-5 minutes to load and reloading usually take 5-10 min. and frequently crashes the system. Are my load/reload issues common or just a problem for me?

Memory in dual channel? SSD disc?

I do have a solid state drive. Hmm maybe a dual channel thing. I'm not really sure how that works. I've noticed several times that I will see flashes of images from game previous locations if I alt/tab between the game and browser. Would that fit with your suggestion?

Ya your ram is really low. The only way you can help that would be to change the size of your pagefile. That will help, but you will still have slower loading due to the game having to load from your disk rather than RAM.

as for you seeing previous images during your alt-tabs...that's actually normal. It's a 'screenshot' from the last time you did your alt-tab...it isn't something that is refreshed constantly.
