checking out the Imp exit, first map in act 2, i cannot, for the life of me find the damn exit... suggestions???

Ok I am not entirely sure this is what you mean but otherwise just tell me where you are excactly (a special house, imp or something similar) But if you are having trouble getting of the lava island then you need to go into the prison to rescue an imp there he. he will give you a quest to rescue another imp and after that when you leave the prison they will escort you to the imp village. I think I remember what you are talking about - the house right after you cross the lava? I had the exact same problem - the exit is VERY small, and the bottom of the oval area that makes up the interior of the house. Just go round the edges of the house with your mouse pointer VERY slowly and you'll find it near the bottom. I thought I was stuck and it was a bug at first, but it's there.

How do you open the door to the cell that imp is in? I have all the other doors open but this one. I know I missed something but for the life of me I can't find what it is. I took the straw also thinking I would be need this somewhere down the road.

Hmm let me see, it has been a while since I was there so I dont remember completely. Did you miss any levers, I remember that there should be atleast one though I do not know if it was the one you need for the imp. have you tried alt and scrool around the prison, it is not so big? Anyway try doing a search and clear the area. There is no special trick or riddles for the prison so it is just a matter of finding the key. Hope luck will shine upon you

The guard at the entrance drops a key, and there is another on the table in the west corridor (use the alt key if you missed them).

I don't think you need the straw for anything.

Then I have a problem. I rechecked upstairs on the surface where the guard died. There was only a small amount of gold where he died. In the prison I have killed everything and moved anything that will let me including rotten food, boxes,packages, straw, etc. I have a few keys currently in my possession but none seem to unlock the door. I hold alt down through out the prison and no key shows up. On the plus side exploring the surface has raised me 3 levels.

Duncan - remember as you entered the prison level => a guard attacked you? This one drops a key for Tax. Did you free him? And the table key (west corridor) opens the cell of the other imprisoned imp. Which key are you missing?

Ok, the attacking guard at 1 drops a key for cell at 3 => Tax

The key on the table at 2, opens the cell at 6 => imprisoned imp

the key on the shelf at 4 opens the cell at 5 => monster with BF key 1

As the original poster named this post it applies to me. I checked the whole area including that table area and just never saw the key " word " show on the screen. I chalk it up to being tired and playing despite that. I want to thank you all for helping me see this key. You gotta luv those screenies Kiya, Thanks.
