For a druid-centric update, I think Larian Studios forgot about this Feat.
There is a Magic Initiate for every spellcaster class already(cleric, wizard and warlock), only druid doesn't have one.

wonder what that would look like for in terms of what spells you can learn, hopefully they put this in since this sounds fun.

Yeah I was looking for this too. I created a close combat wizard (battle mage), much better than an eldrich knight purely because we can learn inflict wounds and misty step next to enemies. When I run out of spell slots I wanted to cast Shillelagh on my staff.

Spells gained from Magic initiate feat use spellcasting stat native to the donor class.
So shillelagh would use your wisdom for attack and damage, not your intelligence. It is most likely still better than strength.
