Please don't make this the same button? It's way too easy to try to skip past dialogue you've seen a lot of and accidentally select a dialogue you don't like.

Amen! Similarly, skipping the cut scene should be ESC, not space bar! It's frustrating that I want to skip the cutscene, only to end up with the menu screen overlaying the scene.

+1 - a simple but very impactful suggestion.

At least allow us to assign it to different buttons.
