I am a great fan of archery in 5E.
Some things I really wish would be implemented in the final version of BG3:

1. Variant Human Race
2. Sharpshooter feat
3. Bracers of Archery
4. Belt of Dwarvenkind
5. Goggles of Night
6. Oathbow
7. Sentinel Shield
8. Multiclassing
9. Precision Shot Battle Maneuver

This would allow me to re-create my Adventure League characters ;-)

10. Ready actions
11. Dodge action

This would enhance combat

13. Inventory sorting. Kinda like spells, wherein certain item types are grouped by types. Alternatively, using tabs by type.

Just a fan's 2 cents from the peanut gallery. What would you fellow adventurers like to see in the final build?

Multi-classing would be on my Wishlist. Having the opportunity to choose a different class on level up.

Nice ideas. Also, regarding archery it would be great if the various ranged weapons were actually differentiated with their respective ranges. Last time I played (admittedly a long time ago) short and long bows had the same distance which is just laughable.

Good thread topic!

The big thing on my wishlist is for Larian to keep any references to Abdel/original series Bhaalspawn to a minimum. While I understand Abdel is the PnP “official” Bhaalspawn, I just hope Larian respects the folks who played through BG 1/2/ToB to where we can work our Bhaalspawn’s ending in to fit. Perhaps one way would be, if there’s any references to “Murder in Baldur’s Gate”, Abdel can just be referenced as “the former/previous Duke”, or even still referenced by name, as long as it’s not as “Gorion’s ward” or “the one who stopped the iron crisis/Sarevok”. Right now, I’m kinda wanting one of my playthroughs to be as one of the children of my BG1/2 character, and things that could disconnect that would hurt.

That’s honestly the big one for me. As far as gameplay stuff, maybe a few more moulds in Grymforge for some different weapons (axes) and armors (breastplates, maybe).

The ability to only move one character at a time or have party members hold position would also be nice (although maybe I’m just stupid and haven’t figured this one out yet). I’m kinda surprised this doesn’t seem to be in yet.

Finally, I’d also like to see the party to be upped to 5 characters instead of 4. Four seems to be the max for games like this nowadays, and it’d be nice to have a game allowing for a slightly larger adventuring party.

1. School of Enchantment Wizard.
2. The Shield spell, and a revamped reaction system. That way the Abjuration specialist can compete with the Evoker.
3. Paladin and it's 3 PHB subclasses.
4. Ritual Spells.
5. A good aligned Dwarven companion.
6. Hexblade Warlocks, Pact of the Blade, and Pact of the Tome.
7. Aasimar, Half-Orc, Gnome, and Dragonborn races added.
8. Wizard Schools of Necromancy, Divination, Illusion, and Conjuration added (the Transmutation specialist sucks).
9. War, Death, and Tempest Domains added to Cleric with the Spiritual Weapon spell.
10. Multiclassing.

- More body diversity so I could play an old skinny wizard or an absolutely jacked half-orc who could punch you to the Astral plane.
- More party banter and for the character attitudes towards you matter in banter or maybe even dialogue options.
- Newer options in the character builder like jewelry, scars, height and etc...
- New Male Dwarf model, its like their chest is exploding outwards. it looks so wierd.

At least I can tell you that bigger model (Halsin's body) will be in the game for male/female.

Closer to 5e rules, monster stats, etc. At least as an option
Day/night cycle
Party size 6 as an option especially for multiplayer

Sometimes NPCs get unique looks to make them even more special.
Player models are different because of how many animations and armors have to fit them.

Its what worries me about unique body looks.

speaking of unique bodies, I wish we can have body hair options. like I don't need every human male and half-elf male has chest hair.

Larian should also look at the surprise mechanic. As of right now, only one party member strikes and then combat initiative starts.
5e, every party member gets a a go before the enemy gets to react or move.
Solasta gets this well enough.

Baldurs Gate Stat rolling. Yes I may or may not spend hours trying to get the stats of the character I want to play smile. One example my str based Fighter/Druid is almost impossible to play in this game. Long story short, he ends up being a dex fighter… ugg. TBH he is the only one I have this issue with. All my others are fine as it is now.

Better perks - ones that make you lose sleep at night trying to decide if you want to take them instead of the additional stat points smile

The charecters I would like to be able to build in the game:

Pending - Fighter/Druid str build - Half elf NG
Pending - Oath Breaker/Druid member of the Shadow Druids - Human NE
Done - Wild Magic sorcerer - High elf CG
Pending - Barbarian Half Orc, yeah cliche lol CN my murder hobo and will try every attempt to remove tadpole no matter the damage smile
Pending - Cleric/(Rogue or Bard) slutty Drow smile TN
Pending - Halfling Archer prefer an Archane Archer type NG

For me the weight limit needs to be looked at. In my opinion >> Everyone has one.

I personally am a pack rat and always afraid to drop anything in a new game for a long time until I have fully convinced my self that they are absolutely safe to drop.

What I would rather see is a number limit on some item's rather than a weight limit. ( Only being able to carry 10 of this and 15 of that or 1 of these or something to that effect.)

I have never seen a reason to set a weight limit on gold, I think that is just goofy. (( You run through a dungeon picking up items to sell only to find out that selling them makes you over weight.) To me that is just goofy.)

NOTE; I do like the Idea of body weight changes, larger/smaller bottom, Bigger/smaller top and narrower/wider waist. Full body adjustments do add quite a bit to the game Personalization I think. But no Height control as many of the Races are height oriented by there race.

1. 5e rules instead of this hybrid system: Only one leveled spell per turn, only rogues can use dash as bonus action, a proper reaction system.
2. all subclasses from the PHB at least
3. all feats from the PHB at least
4. at least one companion from each class of the PHB
5. Day/night cycles
6. Multiclassing (will ask for refund in case does not get implemented)

To this day there is a lot of confusion regarding the interpretation of Surprise. The way it is written allows for many interpretations, including one of the players surprising the rest of the party as well.

Better low-end graphics.

My pc can't handle the high-end graphics, and that's fine, but it's weird to me that the low end both looks and runs pretty bad. This is considering DOS2 looks and runs fine. I really hope they optimize the heck out of graphics.
