I have just installed this game and compared with F2 it looks simply stunning , i did finish F2 , anybody out there played Tactics and can share some info or tips, i would be most grateful. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" />

I did (as you know <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />) but my tactics are simplest, you will find them in the tutorials, no doubt.
Once, for fun, I pumped my medic with every drug I had (and since in game I do not use drugs, I had plenty of them). Got several of his stats to 20 and wiped half of the map. Now that was fuuuun!

I was an avid fan of Fallout and Fallout2... but never did try Tactics. Let me know if it's any good! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

it ain't the 'BEST GAME EVER' but it sure is fun. i believe it may be the best $4.95 on a game.

it's my first game where i learn to love the SPECIAL system. sorry, i'm no FO series fan(haven't played 1 or 2 yet) but this one rocks. heck it's more fun (& still is) than lionheart.

& to spick, plan what u want your main character to be; melee slayer with high sneak/sniper/heavy gunner/sapper with high sneak. i have 3 snipers & one medic & a sapper. in another game i have 4 snipers/heavy gunners & a medic.

note: if you play without patching the game, you can always exploit the game by dropping all your stuff the first time you enter a special encounter (brahmin 2000, titanic, nuka cola boy, amelia earhart, mir space station, ...) & then exit then go back in again. pick up all your stuff then exit, & go back in there again. you will see that all the stuff you drop are duplicated. if you patched the game, then that bug will be resolved. but if u want to have fun with the browning m2 without worries on ammo.....

How do i quickly take charge of the whole group without having to "lassoo" them all, which can be hard if they are spread out? ,and, what does the button which changes from 3 buttons to one large rectangular button with the percentages 95%-66% and 33% do? or am i being a bit on the dim side <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/suspicion.gif" alt="" />

It's pretty slow: took arround a minute to appear on my 56k, but as I said, right click and save it.

spick, are u playing it turn-based or squad-based or real-time.

i'm incapable of playing games in turn-based & squad-based so i guess i suck at least 50% in general RPG & strategy games. but ask me about real-time & i'll be glad to help. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Ummmm, turn based i think, the same way i played Fallout 2.

I don't reccomend using FAQs. Not only it takes away the fun of playing the game by yourself but also you tend to read more than you need so you know what comes next.

I 100% agree. However there were a few levels that I ripped all my remaining hair out and just could not figure out how to finish the level. (After reading I figured out how stupid I was doh!)

I REALLY wish people would make a type of "non spoiler" like walkthrough. Such as mention only some important items that are in the area, but do not tell specificaly where they are. etc.
