This is part 1 of my divine divinity item guide, carefully compiled by myself, the first part is also titled "most knowledgable" items, meaning that most people know about most of these items, this is for people that need help getting something.
_______________________________________________________________________________

The holy weapons:

Sword: In Iona's dungeon, click on the candle to open the path to the cave of illusions, where the sword lies.

Dagger: Join the thieves guild by speaking to Rob and completing his tasks, go down the nearby hatch and the door to the east will open, go to the central room and then to the northern room, which is Robs room, look at the book on the table and the dagger will be in there.

Amulet: In dark forest, go east when you enter and find a cave (or a platform if you don't like to fight ghosts) the amulet will be in a web near the exit.

______________________________________________________________________________

The Larian armour: When you find it in the stalkers lair, it is an ordinary breastplate at first glance, but when you find the easteregg area and kill the bad beetles and speak to Sven, it will improve. To do so, follow these steps.

1: Find all the treasure maps and go to treasure cave (go west at the dark forest entrance and continue down, when you find a small inlet search carefully, the cave is somewhere in one of the inlets) when you find a hidden room north of the treasure room, (there is a gravestone there) have these items.

1: 1 teleporter stone (1 in your inventory, 1 anywhere else)
2: 2002 gold, EXACATLY 2002 gold (hold down ctrl whilst dragging the gold out, drop 2002 gold and then drop the rest, then pick up the 2002 gold)
3: 5 bottles of Ale from Rimmer (speak to his brother in dwarven halls and then go back and forth a bit, he will eventually give you the 5 bottles)
4: The armour from the stalkers cave
5: The 4 ropes near the teleporter near the gravestone, NO OTHER ROPES

When you have these, click on the teleporter, when you enter the easteregg area you will find loads of prison cells, open them and then drop the ropes in them so you can enter them, when you find Sven go north and down another prison cell, beat the beetles and then speak to Sven, he will change the armour from the stalkers cave into the Larian armour!

______________________________________________________________________________

Dragon armour: When you retrieve the axe of stone and/or given the king the letter about his brother, the king will tell you about the dragon armour, here are the locations.

Gloves: In a funeral pyre in the elven burial grounds

belt: In an abandoned house in verdistis to the west, near where the 2 women are arguing, pick up the key on the shelf and then go down (you might fall down) enter a nearby room and use the key to open the chest, in there will be some gold and the belt!

Shield: In stormfist castle locked armoury, the key is in the study opposite the armoury

Breastplate: Get it from sir Patrick after you learn about the dragon armour from the king of dwarven halls, you will have to do something for him first though...

Heart: In the imps castle, this is connected to the warriors guild second test

Helmet: Get it from the king when you get the heart and the breastplate.

When you get the breastplate and the heart, speak to Grischa and he will combine them! It will take time though. Your reward will be worth it when you equip all the pieces though.

_______________________________________________________________________________

Treasure maps: You have to find one of the maps to learn about the quest, here are the locations, there are 4 maps all together.

1: In the spiders cave north of archers guild

2: In a locked room next to dwarven mines in dwarven halls

3: Search a corpse in the rooms below assasins guild (these rooms can be reached from the assasins guild or the sewers of Verdistis

4: From Mpenzak when you get 1 map

When you find all the pieces go to treasure cave, which is in dark forest, search carefully around the mountain and you will find it.

_______________________________________________________________________________

Optional amulets: Here are a few optional amulets found in the game

Amulet of glory: In the chamvber of the giant spider in the 5th level of the catacombs

Strange amulet Mardec: Look carefully in the corner of the engineers room in the cursed abbey

Dark elf amulet: In dwarven forest, you will find it on a skeleton

_______________________________________________________________________________

Optional weapons: Here are a few optional weapons found in the game

Harpoon of Atlantos: Kill Shrimpo in the graveyard

Sword of the gods: In an abandoned house in the wastelands

Axe of 100 crusades: You get it off an imp in the wastelands, I found it everytime I played, so it isn't a random weapon

Nice! While you're listing uniques, I'd also mention the Singing Blade, the Sword of Chaos, the Sapphire Ring of Verlat, Boots of the Vampire, Kistandalius' dagger, Penumbra's Dagger (Heartseeker), the Halberd of the Rocks, and some others...

Good job! And nicely formatted too! This would make a good start to a web site, if you felt like it. Just for the record, there are a lot more special items in the game to find. Just some:
  • Halberd of the Rock - North-East corner inside Cursed Abbey
  • Sword of Chaos - Hidden in a caved-in cave, East of the Dwarven Forest
  • Sword in the Stone - Near the Elven Ruins
  • Slasher - Under a loose tile in the 2nd level of the Catacombs
  • Boots of the Scorpion - In a Tomb on the 4th level of the Catacombs
  • Ring of ??? - Given to you in Verdistis by one of the soliders you save in Aleroth

Those are just a few off the top of my head.

No, if you´ve healed Verlaat in Aleroth he gives you the ring in Verdistis. When you walk through the town, suddenly a cutscene starts and he gives you the ring!

Hi,

I have something to add. I was in the Vampires lair, (the one that you save the boy from) after defeating him, i opened the chest and took the boots.

I saved the game and reloaded the next day. Upon reloading the game I looked at the empty chest and saw that the cover was up (opened). I closed the chest and to my surprise it read contains 1 item in yellow writting.

I opened it up and inside was a very nice dagger with green writting. I saved and reloaded the old save and tried the trick again and found that there was usually an item in it. Sometimes there was nothing but most of the time there was an item in it. You might want to try doing this a few times until you find something good. I just kept the dagger because it was the first and best thing after 6- 8 tries. One try it was empty and another try there was only gold.

If this doesnt work for you, you may want to leave the boots in the chest and then save and reload and close the chest for it to read 2 items. I don't know how that works but I know that I have been closing every chest since then.

Good luck and if you have any questions I will be glad to help.

Pystal
