Some of my gear is busted and i'm not going to invest in Repair (not that I could anyway). George is dead and I can't find anyone to repair my things and I desperately need some things repaired. The only weapon that's useful I can't equip because the gear that was letting me use it has just broken and I need to repair things before I can proceed effectively... so any idea of where I can go to get things repaired... I haven't got much further than the human lands yet... the furthest south being a barraks next to where everyone gets mind controled and the furthest east is the blue boar inn (I haven't been able to get into the castle yet and see Wiz guy).

A decent town with shops would be nice too!

You can go for repairs to the Blue Boar Inn. There are all the healers. They moved from Aleroth to the Inn. You can do some repairs there.

Oltho the dwarf in aleroth where you started, house is above and left of where the elf lives, if you've arranged what lord seth asks.. he'll be in the blue boar inn, in one of the rear rooms.

better than maxing out repair is tio put just 1 skillpoint in repair.(60% repared)

and level 2 alchemie, soo you can mix potions toghetter -> rejuvenation potion
so you can use the other skill points in something else.

look out for items that give u extra skill points in that so no need for maxing out the skills.

True enough you can just put 1 point into repair, but this means you have to be sure to remember to check and repair every few fights...

Anyone noticed if repairing items prior to selling them makes them worth more?

I usually just repaired when the warning symbol showed up, unless I happened to notice low durabilities while trading, etc.

Repairing items does make them worth more. I put a couple skill points into Repair, found a couple items with a Repair bonus and bought another. All loot without full durability I stored in a chest to be mass repaired and sold off later.

Well by the time of divinity i had so many spare points left over, i just maxed repair and did all my own repairs..at 60% some melee fights can remove your sword from your hand at the wrong moment...i agree with getting a special suit put together for just repairing and this follows for casting certain spells..

Repairing at warning symbol can be too late.. but it comes down to individual ideals i guess. I prefer to max it out then i can spend more time killing and less time repairing.. tho i have to say, once i got flash attack at 30 i think the only item i ever had to repair was my sword..

I found that paying for repairs whenever I dropped off loot was plenty. I only had a weapon break twice in the game running by that system. It's not like you're ever short of money in the game.

I know it's way too late for me to post, but I'll reply for the heck of it... Don't worry about messed up gears. There'll be a lot of items to pick up anyway, or you could learn the repair skill... Besides, a lot of people (NPCs) perform repair so no need to worry...

I play the same way too. With two skill points I have at the moment, I do just fine. And I don´t have to run every now and then for repairs. As soon as the warning symbol shows up, I repair all of my stuff and I am ready for the next battle.
