I'm a level 25 Survivor with a strength around 37 and every time I've clicked on the stone to take the sword from it, I get a message saying I'm not strong enough. Does anyone know what (if any) minimum strength I need to complete this quest?

I don´t know the exact number you need, but I think it´s something about 60.
If you look around near the stone you might find a super strength potion which could become quite useful for this purpose.

I would also advise you to save your game before pulling the sword out.

Thanks for the info and the welcome. I guess I'll wait a couple of levels then. Thanks again! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

stats differ, if you take this link and click on the pic before, you will see the wide spread difference. Was from 56 onwards and in the other case from 66 on. So, Bernhard's guess of strength 60 was pretty good.

If ya don't wanna wait, just pop a few steroids (stregnth potions). <y wiz was way too weak to remove it (and still is), but the potions helped out.

While we are on the topic of the sword in the stone, I have a question regarding it.

(spoiler)

I am about to head out that way for the branch and things like that, I was wondering if I should wait until I am finished with all of the dark forest quests before I pull it out?

I heard that I can pull it out and then fight the ghost after which I can put it back until I finish the quests. Is this true? I heard that the goghst will kill almost every one in the dark forest.

So, should I wait to pull it out until I have completed everything including the easter egg armor?

Also, if I wait and finaly do pull it out, will I be able to use the sword?

Thanks,

Pystal

If you want to keep and use the sword, wait until you are done all the quests in the Dark Forest. You can remove the sword and return it to the stone to get the experience without releasing the demon to kill anyone, but then you will not be able to remove the sword again.

You killed the ghost, dropped the sword back on the stone, got the dialog saying something like 'no! this can't be' and completed the quest? After I do that the sword+stone is inert. I can click on it, but nothing happens.
