If you could live in some kind of medieval fantasy world, would you?

I wouldn't because I'd probably be the guy mucking out stalls in a stable, saving my meager wages to go to the tavern at night to dice, drink, and flirt with the wenches.

I'm not sure. As long as there are Unicorns, yes.

Yes in a heart beat, to be able to live in a cold, damp, drafty castle would be the life for me.

And to torture them !
And to let them die without food without drinks in the "oubliettes" with creepy water and a lot of rats !

Lews, do you know that our great king Louis XI used to put his prisonners in a small cage in which they could not stand up or lie down, nice ?

Yes I did. that is why he died.

no. I would have the dungeons be 5 star hotels.

It was just life back then. like life here will seem hideous to people in 1000 years.

And to torture them !

with red hot pokers, the streching rack, drops of water on the forehead, cutting them to pieces an inch at a time, tied behind four horses by the arms and legs and pulled apart, fights in the arena, made to eat red hot coals, pulling finger and toe nails out, pouring boiling oil on them, the use of various poisonous creatures, nailing them to the walls

oh i could have been the best torturer in history and had a blast doing it.
after this post i had to change my alignment to evil [Linked Image]

LordMalis did specify a 'medieval fantasy world'. Straight medieval I wouldn't go for, but with a few conditions on the fantasy part, I would consider it.

Conditions include;
[*]no bubonic plague
[*]magical or herbal medicine advanced enough that nobody dies from minor cuts or broken bones
[*]no sadistic dictators or nobles with the legal right to kill peasants on a whim
[*]magic, unicorns, elves, dwarves, et al.
[*]magic advanced enough to meet or exceed modern conveniences (at least health, water and sewage systems widely available), without the disadvantages (like pollution). Everybody else wouldn't necessarily need to have full access to magic, but of course I would.
[*]I'd have to be a mage, of course (or what's the point of a fantasy world?)
[*]I'd have to be powerful enough I could not get knocked out and chained to a post in a factory cranking out charms
[*]My ambitions are modest, though. I'd settle for being the most powerful human mage; if a couple elves or elementals were slightly stronger that would be ok.
[*]probably a few more, as well....
