Lesson 1: Procrastinate to the point of ruin...almost

You must learn the fine art of knowing the right time for action and inaction. Not waiting long enough will make you look responsible and waiting too long will make you responsible, and we dont want that. Remember act in proportion to the amount of bodily harm you expect to recieve from not completeing the task

Or, as Gandalf the Grey (and White) stated it: "A wizard is never late nor early. He always arrives precisely when he means to."

I hope I posted this response in the correct order and at the correct moment.

BTW, re the "Pan-Wendy" theorem, I believe that the same relationship was mirrored (excuse the pun, kiya) between Captain Cook and the crocodile, sans the "youthful" outlook. And, in their case, one of the personalities literally devoured the other one, then moved on without a further care. And, since I am more of the age of Cook than I am of Pan, I guess the "clock is ticking" toward my eventual demise. To carry the analogy a bit further (if, indeed, Cook is a time-hardened Pan), then Cooks rage against Pan is symbolic of self-hatred for youthful mistakes or jealousy of the "good old days" of a misspent youth. Sounds a bit like "mid-life crisis" to me. If so, then I am safe; I mid-life crisified years ago.

Well I think that Pans are ok in some short of way... (I agree with what Kiya wrote btw) but, thinking of it either way it is better to be with someone irresponsible and at least have fun than being with someone irresponsible and above all make you unhappy... (I know that there is something wrong with my word order in here but I pray that you will get the point)

Busted! I meant to say "Hook"

Let me explain my Freudian slip: I couldn't sleep last night, too eager for a job interview later today. So, I spent all night surfing the web about where the job will be located: Kauai, Hawaii. Captain Cook is (in)famous for "discovering" the Hawaiian islands. On his second visit to Hawaii, he got himself killed by angering the natives.

This information was drilled into my half-asleep brain and decided to leak into my posts here today.

I think I'll go take a nap.

Interesting, this syndrome. Reminds me of myself. Also, I had to think about the german comedian Otto Waalkes.

I just realized I'm a "Wendy"!

How do I get over it? I occassionally come out to "fly" but even when I'm flying I'm trying to make sure everyone else is okay, not going to fall out of the sky, etc.

I want a little more Peter Pan in my life.

No wait! I have BeeGee the Imp - so I do!

DQueen you need to pay attention to my lessons we'll train you yet!!!

Lesson 2: Cultivating your inner geek

Its a fact you can't be cool and fun loving and young at the same time. Being cool requires a certain coldness that snuffs out the attitude required to be fun and young. I think most of us are ok in this respect So remember everyone has a little geek in them. Make sure yours is happy

Stay tuned for lesson 3: Free-time

oooohhh, hawaii. i've been there. absolutely wonderful. my only bad memory of hawaii (actually, we were on maui), was getting a nasty big bruise on my behind from jumping off a 35 foot cliff and hitting the water wrong. felt kinda falling 35 feet and landing butt first on a piece of plywood. not fun. moral of the story: don't jump into water butt first.

Did you know if you jumped off an airplane skydiving and landed all the way into the water with your body flat, you could crush every bone in your body yes including your pinki on your hand and your baby toe on your foot.

PS is this with a parachute or without, I mean since you are "skydiving" ?

According to (oh what's the bloddy name again of that book? you know the predecessor of the 'restaurant at the end of the universe' )
it is easy to survive, all you have to do is "mis" and you learn to fly as a fringe benefit

You don't learn to fly in hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy. It might be the one with Fish in the title.
