Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Technical Problems Strange Wizard Bug, Help please!

I have been experiencing very strange bug when I play the wizard character. Everytime I try to equip some sort of shield, the game drops me to my desktop. Its wicked annoying. I tried reinstalling the game without any programs running in the background and that didnt work. I think it has something to do with a CRC error I received during installation at the end of the second CD, dont know how to fix that. I did apply the 1.34 patch

I have a
P4 2.53 GHZ
512 RD ram
Windows XP Professional fully updated
GeForce Ti 4600 with latest drivers
Direct x 9.0b

I think you are probably right. You should be able to manually extract the file(s) you got the error on, if re-installing from a different drive (if available) doesn't help. See;
