HI again,

I have a question about Item stats that can be reloaded to get better ones.

First I would like to say that I almost never do this but I found a Bast@rd Sword that keeps giving random stats when I reload.

I want to know what your opinions are on the type of stats that are worth keeping over others.

Resists, skills, attributes, or the skills that you can only get on weapons(frost, life drain, mana drain etc.) Which should I look for most in an Item?

I know that it depends on my char and what I need but lets just say round about.

I have a few choices but I wonder about this as well...
I have a sword with three skills in it and each is lvl (3) and it has 5 charms.

Another sword had 10 -15 resist on all elemental and poison and 5 charms.

One has 6 con, and 2 strength with 3 or 5 charms and I think speed.

Any thoughts on WHich is more sought after? Attributes, skills, resists, or item skills?

BTW.... I am having a blast with this game <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Thanks,

Pystal

Personally, I always go for skills and charm slots. Attributes and resistances can be taken care of through charms. But..uhhh..it really depends on what type of character you're playing <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

I always went primarily for damage on weapons and armour class on armour. Health (mainly) and mana bonuses were probably my next most desirable bonus. Early in the game Life / Mana Drain come in handy, but I found they are less required and less effective later. Passive damage skills are handy, as are sight and (to a lesser extent) hearing bonuses, but I never looked for these specifically. Stat bonuses are always good. Resistances are good, especially at the start of the game, but I don't think I ever chose one item over another due to this.
Early in the game speed bonuses are helpful, but weapon expertise will eventually drop your recuperation time to zero anyway, so later it will become irrelevant.
I avoided Frost after trying it once, and decided half way through the game not to use any charms so ignored the charm quality (except for the gold strength charm from the dragon rider Zandalor killed, that I previously used to be able to equip the bast.ard sword from the knight by Stormfist castle).

Thanks all,

I feel better about not having to reload once in a while. From now on I am going to just do as always and keep the first thing that drops.

If the game gets easier as it goes I don't want to get too buffed up.

I like a chalenge. By the way, I tried to kill the litch in the church and failed hard core. I think I will wait to do that part of the game hehe.
I am only lvl 13 so unless I am doing something wrong at that lvl I will wait till maybe lvl 16 to try and kill it.

Have fun,

Pystal

Your level is a little low for that area, so waiting will help.
I reloaded too much in my first game. Especially since I noticed that if you had been playing for awhile, the first time you get something tends to be among the best. Re-loading 50 times probably would not get you an item much better than trying 5 times.
