HI,

I did a search and read many good replies.

I have a question about Tingalf though.

If I solve this quest and have Tingalf arrested, will I be ending something beautiful?

Another words, do I need him for other things in the game?
Am I going to miss some good items from him?
Will the Rogue Guild shun me?
Etc.

Also, if I don't turn him in, will the Merchants Guild, or anyone else, become angry with me?

Thanks everyone,

Pystal

Hello.

I don't think you miss anything from arresting Tingalf. He's a good source for lockpicks but not much else. IIRC nobody gets mad whether you do the quest or not.

Thank you for the reply.

That helps me decide what I am going to do. If no person is upset for turning him in, then I will do so and receive the xp etc.

Thanks again,

Pystal

Thanks to Moriendors Sweet! Quest page, we have the following related quests
which one must assume would be a good thing to do... i ended up with two unfinished tingalf sidequests..that was before i found this page... PlanetDivinity.com Quest Page

Big Tingalf spoiler here......select to see

[color:"#666666"] Quest: Missing delivery
Solution: Marcus, a merchant from the Rivertown market, says his latest delivery of goods is missing. He's going to ask you to look for his cart to the south of Rivertown Market.
Just march down the road to the south of the Rivertown market until you run into Marcus' cart. The cart jockeys will tell you that they need a new wheel to continue their journey.

Quest: Broken wheel
Solution: (See quest above) - You will find Marcus' cart on its way to the Rivertown market on the southern road. Unfortunately, one of the wheels is broken. The drivers are going to ask you to go to Marcus and arrange for a new wheel to be sent. Do it .

Quest: Deliver a new Wheel
Solution: (See quest above) - Marcus is going to ask you to deliver a new wheel to his drivers. Take the wheel with you and bring it to the wrecked cart. Be aware: The cart wheel is quite heavy. You may have to drop some stuff to be able to carry it with you.

Quest: The burning cart
Solution: (See quest above) - When you return to the cart with the replacement wheel, you find out that someone has attacked the cart while you were away. The drivers and the goods are gone. You're supposed to investigate the surroundings of the cart for a clue.
The solution to this quest is not to be found as nearby as it may seem. You will find the dead bodies of the drivers in the forest to the east. Walk east and slightly to the south from the position of the burning cart to find the corpses.

Quest: Find clues about Wares
Solution: (See quest above) - Merchant Marcus is interested in getting information about his lost wares. You should check out the surroundings of the burnt cart to find out more about Marcus' wares. There is a cave to the east where Marcus' wares have been hidden away by bandits. Kill the bad guys and pick up the letter from the cave.

Quest: Tingalf
Solution: (See quest above) - Marcus is going to give you some information about Tingalf, a trader who sells goods of dubious origin. You should have a little talk with him.

Quest: Nearby depot
Solution: (See quest above) - Tingalf is going to tell you about a depot of goods nearby. He's also going to tell you that it is dangerous to show an interest in such things. Apparently, the area of interest is near the Rivertown Market.
Tingalf is right. Enter the Rivertown sewers via Rivertown Market to find the depot right east of the sewer entrance.

Quest: Find the suppliers of Tingalf
Solution: (See quest above) - Lt. Robin (NW corner of Rivertown Market) lets you know that the authorities have to know more about Tingalf's suppliers before they can make an arrest. - In case you have picked up the note from the cave with Marcus' wares (see above), you're already done with this quest.

Quest: Find the truth about Tingalf
Solution: (See quests above) - Trevor in Verdistis believes Tingalf is selling wares under the counter and without a licence of the Merchants' Guild. He sends you to the Rivertown Market to find proof of it. - This quest does only matter if you have gone to Verdistis before having heard of Tingalf before. To solve this quest, you have to complete all of the quests listed above and below.

Quest: To Rivertown
Solution: (See quest above) - You're going to find a letter in the cave of the highwaymen (that points towards the black market now flourishing in Rivertown). Maybe the goods were delivered to the legitimate market, but certainly not to the merchant Marcus.[/color]

Thanks,

That is very informative.

I might have to try a few different ways to do this hehe.

Thanks for the info friend

I love this game! It has soo much potential. I cant wait for Beyond Divinity and hopefully Divine Divinity 2 to come out. I will buy them both.
