that you're chained to a 'death knight'. *sigh*

This really took the steam out of my excitement after having enjoyed the first one so much. Very disappointed personally...

Well, if you don't want to play <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" /> , you don't need to. Instead you can keep on wating for DD2. (hint, hint) <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Why are you so negative about this aspect? I personally find the idea of beeing soulforged to a deathnight very challenging and of course interesting. This is an idea that no other RPG had in it as far as I know.

I´d say wait and enjoy! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/freak.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" />

Being soulforged to a Deathknight is a major part of <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" /> check out my web site below for more info on the game

The idea just turns me off. Just a matter of personal taste. I'm not trying to ruffle anyone's feathers. I could go into specific reasons why I don't like the idea but while never having played the game it would be pointless.

BTW: Beyond Divinity isn't the 'official' sequel to DD? If not then I feel better about the whole thing. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Sorry guys but I've been out of the loop on this stuff (as you would have surely guessed by now).

I am sure that after playing the free demo of Beyond, you will change your mind.
Beyond Divinity is not a sequel of Divine Divinity but you will find in this game all the things you liked in DD and more.

As usual Barta shows the wisdom of ages. How do you do that anyway, I mean at your age <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

My assumption :

DD 1 -> BD = DD 1.5 -> DD 2 <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

I'm sure that there are enough twists in the story and more then enough subquests to keep you addicted to the game.

I'm not too happy about the deathknight either. I'm not happy about the idea of having to control 2 characters at the same time, that sounds quite stressful. I hope their next Divinity game after BD won't be a RTS (that was a JOKE, so shut up).
I have faith in the Larians (I think they will probably make it work), but I'll definitely not buy it without playing the demo first.

I did like the idea of the deathknight. It makes more sense being evil then.

To control 2 characters at the same time is not easy.
But an easy game is not fun.
At the beginning it would be stressful, but as you play you would get used to it.

For instance, with Imprunner when i began to play i was killed in the level 1, then i get used to the game and i made good progress.

I completely agree with you, i never buy a game without playing a demo first.

I bought <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> without playing the demo. I saw it in the store and remembered a review i have read about it and bought it. Good thing i did. RTS is not really a problem...quite interesting actually

I have only one thing to say: Wait, See and you will never play another game anymore. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

At least the thing to be bound to a DeathKnight is creative.

And a company that is so creative to develop such an idea ( I know it from some movies, but not from RPG) deserves my attention. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> So to say. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />
