I had a lot of fun playing this game, but as a magic user, about a third to halfway through the game, it was just too easy. Apart from Josephina, the only challenge of the game was not getting CTS from clicking the mouse button to spam "Elemental Strike". That spell alone killed the Demon of Lies in under 7 seconds, not to mention almost everything else in the game.

Kudos on the awesome quests though!! Please provide better in-game hints for armor quests in Beyond Divinity, as finding the pieces of the dragon armor and holy weapons is very frustrating with no clues at all (I was forced to read a walkthrough).

I also found it started getting easy half way through, and avoided using charms, Frost weapons, etc. You can increase the difficulty setting, or give yourself a handicap of some sort.

At the end of the game I re-loaded, removed my sword and all equipment, then fought the Demon of Lies bare handed. It took a few minutes and 106 minor restoration potions to kill him. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

For the dragon armour, I found it all by just exploring everywhere and talking to the few NPCs who mention it.

The catacombs are one of the more challenging areas of the game, even if you loot Aleroth and start off with some decent equipment. Eventually it starts getting a little easier.

as far as killing goes....yes,
but some of those quests(in my case anyway)
really had me thinking, mostly trying to remember what and who,was where

(those little map flags <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" /> big help! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ouch.gif" alt="" /> and without some of the hints and tips ,
that i found in this forum....i might still be
stumbling around the dark forest somewhere.....looking for

......something... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" />

so it may be easier to kill later on, but also, more of a mental challenge
with a little killing on the side!

maybe you see what i'm getting at? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />

I didn't explain that very good! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/stupid.gif" alt="" />

Dammit Raze, that was the coolest thing I've heard all day <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> It makes my victory seem cheap compared to your punch-out epic. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />

Well the final fight was a little anti-climactic. I had re-loaded to get my stats with and without any equipment, then thought, 'hey, as long as I am standing here... no guts, no glory'. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Hm, am I right or wrong when I say that Raze wasn't the only one who did that ? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" /> Sorry, don't remember anymore ...

Anyway, it's plain heroic ! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />

haha this thread gave me an idea <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
finish the game without ever using any equpiment or active skills. passive skills and potions only <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> should be fun and hard, expecialy in begining <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
