sorry, don't want to seem to have always put my "senf dazu" ( German expression of posting an opinion whether it is asked or not, like "to put in one's twopenn'orth" ;-)) but was reading in this forum for a bit and at least tatoos are a thing i'm quite in to because I'm thinking of going further with mine. Fore my opinion a tattoo or the motive should fit in the symmetry of the bodypart. So if you thinking of doing the moon and elf thing ( compliment to faile for the drawings! ) I would suggest the right shoulder blade and don't make it to small! And an other advise ist: be aware of that tatooing can be addicted, so be sure that you can go on with that motiv later if you want to expand it! That why I stuck in the moment with mine :-( Because I made me some borders and don't know yet how to integrate them in to a larger one with out getting to many several pices ( I think you'll look like an pinn board if you got to many different pieces without an context )

@ HPS

Opinion and andvise are always welcome so I thank you Well to tell you the truth I have thought about it and I don´t want to make a lot of tatoos. I don´t either want an expansion of the one I am going to make. As I said above I am very small made and it would not be nice in sugh a small body like mine to have a lot of tatoos or a huge one. That is of course my personal opinion. Tatoos I think is first of all made only for your self. And it is matter of aesthetics and personal taste

If you wish show us your tatoo too. It will be nice to see it.
And I don´t know if I did that before but [color:"pink"] Welcome to the Forum [/color]

Yes, I totally agree with you! and as known: There's no accounting for taste
For me on of the aesthetic points of a tattoo is (apart from the quality of the work) if its aligned within the body structure where it is placed to. So when I said 'not to small' I didn’t mean it should fit your whole back I mean it should have the right proportion to your shoulder blade. So it doesn’t matter if your small one or not. For example if I would do it on me, I would take the size of my hand so for you it is the size of your hand then (just for example).

But anyway I like tattoos on women and especially when they are a little bit larger than these tiny rose on the shoulder stuff.
Some women I know always mentioned thinks like 'and what if I want to wear a dress on a business date or something...? well I think times when having a tattoo is meant to been in prison or eating little children is hopefully over these days!

and apropos, don´t either want an expansion! Guess what I said when I did my first one

tattoos are beautiful & my people still practise tattooing. there are quite a few tribes in borneo who have very distinct patterns in tattoos & i may have to go to museums & archives to get some pix for all tattoo lovers here.

it's not a fad, it's not trend, it's never fashion.
it's culture.

take your time choosing the right one, greek goddess.
faile, your creativity is beautiful.

aww, thanks janggut. i wrote a big reaserch essay on tattooing a while ago. there was some really interesting info on tribal tattooing. i totally agree it's a culture, the class i wrote the paper for was 'cultural identities.' i absolutely adore tattoos, they really are works of art.

i'm getting a new one in june. (did i already say that?)

luc- i promise i'll work on the drawing soon, i'm just a bit bogged down with school now. and i have to wait till the right mood hits me, you know? otherwise i draw like a donkey with 3 legs.

Yes, but it's not that "exotic thing" anymore if your tatoot!
and if I look in my generation or more in the next one youre more exotic if you don't have one ore eaven anny holes thru skin and bodyparts

Yes that's right! but sadly for many people it is just fashon
They don't know nothing about tatooing ore even the meaning of there owen motives ore styles and that's so sad i think

A dragon (fantasystyle over arm and chest
A devil ( following the chinese mask to prevent the evil ) on the opposite on the other side.
A stylized skull ( kind of tribal ) on one calf
and a 50s Pin Up Bombshell on the other calf!
