Spell books look a bit different than standard books, and have a symbol on the front corresponding to the spell. The description can list the spell (
Meteor Strike), but may be something different (
Fear teaches Withering Curse). Sparks can teach either Lightning of Elemental Hail (or was it Elemental Strike?).
Once you find one, you just have to left click on it in your inventory to learn the skill. A description will scroll up the screen listing the learned skill.
