Has anybody mentioned the soundtrack to [color:"yellow"] Trainspotting [/color] starring Ewan McGregor and Robert carlyle? One of my all time favourite movies, with tracks by Primal scream ,Sleeper, New Order, Iggy Pop, Blur, Pulp, Elastica, Leftfield and of course "Born Slippy" by Underworld, one of my all time favourite tracks . well maybe u didn't read the fine lines in my previous post (back in page 1) so u didn't notice that i did mention trainspotting. great movie; i love all the believably fallible characters & definitely the soundtrack. that movie made me a big fan of leftfield & underworld.

When i first saw it in the late 90's i went straight home and dug out "Atomic" by "Blondie", even though "Atomic" in the movie was done by "Sleeper".

Ofcours.... it could be possible Blondie ripped that one off another band

You must see Trainspotting, very dark druggie film with British sense of humour...must see film Lock Stock good also but i prefered SNATCH.

I liked Lock Stock better than Snatch but its a pretty close run race. I guess I like the humour better in Lock Stock, though Brad Pitt is pretty funny in Snatch. I look forward to more Guy Ritchie movies that dont have his wife in them :P

yeah lock stock is better than snatch. you know i never said i hadnt seen trainspoting.... i saw kill bill a few days ago and thought it was lame. the only good bit it the manga and the excessive blood. if you want really good sword and martial art fighting you want to see crotching tiger hidden dragon.

My personal all time favorite soundtrack is The Gladiator. Brings out the gladiator-woman in me!

Prince of Egypt's "Deliver Us" - Have no idea.
The original score for the movie is by Hans Zimmer. Songs are written by Stephen Schwartz, orchestrated by Zimmer (with some help from his Media Ventures buddies). Great soundtrack! (apart from the W. Houston/M. Carrey bits, imho)

Hans Zimmer ? Wasn't that the man with the Harp from films by Alfred Hitchcock ?
I read some years ago (around the Turn of the Century) that he had died, then.

Maybe you mean Bernard Herrmann? He did a lot of scores for Hitchcock... Hans Zimmer isn't quite form the same generation
