Im going through the Aleroth catacombs and I keep getting killed by skeleton warriors and that stupid level nine skeleton guardian! I'm only level 4 and I already have the zombie bodyguard Gregar Brock or whatever his name is and I was wondering what's the best place to level up. You can try using a bow and hit-and-run tactics for the stronger opponents. You can leave Aleroth and level up a bit on the orcs outside, though I would not go too far south or you will run into a couple stronger orcs. Early Starting TipsEarly Starter Tips (NON-Spoiler Version)

If you haven't, learn the healing spell from Goemoe (the thing with the mirror and the healing gem.) The healing ability makes things much much easier.

Bleh. IMO survivors are the toughest class to play. In that situation I would go get magic missile and toast the skellies. You can try hit and run with the bow, too, just takes longer, but doesn't use mana.

What difficulty are you playing on? I would just like to point out that the hard difficulty is only for hardcore fans who already finished the game a couple of times. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

yes, check your game settings. hard means hard. i used the warrior hit and run tactics. also for the bigger skeletons like "Skeleton Gaurdian", i used the almost famous, bow and run tactics. then he will never get close enough to get a hit on you.

i would solve the quests like the healing gems, if u do both of them u get +2 to ur rep also the weed for the shop keeper.
also kill rabbits and rats not much xp but it helps meatwise for health

Thanks everyone I took your advice about the magic mirror quest to get the spell and it really helped thanks so much! And by the way I'm playing on easy, so that isn't the problem but I think i've got it now so thanks! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" />
