Hello everyone !

Since I bought the game a few days ago, I got a few points about the game. Any reply will be appreciated.

1/ What happens if I don't solve certains quests ? I have so many unsolved that I stop accepting new ones, unless I really need to.

2/ They say you can team-up with an NPC. When does it occur ? How does it work ? Is it similar to D2 ?

3/ A cheap way to make fast money is to pick-up stuff at the military camp of General Alix & sell it to a merchant. I noticed that nobody stops me of doing this. Since I work for her, I have full access to the inventory.

4/ Bows are powerful weapons that are easy to manipulate. Melee weapons with same damage asks for lots of strengh & dexterity. Bows only require dexterity. Also, you can runaway & then shoot, saving your hero from being hurt.

5/ Yesterday, I played from 10 AM to 9 30 PM (with a few short interludes). Boy that game is good or what ?

6/ I don't remember which one, but in a military camp, someone cursed some soldiers to become my ennemy. The only thing I could find is to reload my last save game since I cannot fight all those guys at once.

What did you guys do in this specific situation ? Just curious....

OK for now....THX for reading.

Welcome!

And so many questions:

1. You can go back any time and solve your remainig quests, when you are stronger. All but the main story line quests are voluntary, but good for experience to level up. And you do NOT always know from the start, whether it is main quest relevant, or not. (This is true until you sound the gong to become the divine - that's a point of no return, with still some things to be done)

Do accept all quests, that way, they get registered in your quest log. If you don't remember details, check the conversation log - it has all conversations with all NPCs you ever made.

2. At some point yes, but seldom, and not necessary - you will not share experience!

3. Yep, that's how it is - in this instance carry & cash (not the other way round as usual)

4. A good one for bow could be the skill "poison weapon

5. No contradiction here, mate!

6. Simply do NOT go in there before you're higher level, and then get all the experience you can from it. No other reason for it, except you will see the three again later...

I plan to finish every quests I have & then I'll accept new ones. Do you know that I didn't find the magical axe that those Orcs want to to get for them ?

Mostly, it's because I don't know where to look. I guess I'll learn the game by playing (which I don't mind of course...)

When I say I have seveval quests unsloved, I mean it !

Actually, I am level 16.

Slasher, the axe for the orcs, is one level down from the orcs - one of the small rooms in the northwest of the level has an accessible floortile, under which are two further rooms and the axe. (It is an ID level 4 axe)

Hitting the Alt key in rooms may help finding hidden doors or items - but it will also trigger the random item identifier.

[color:"orange"]Hello everyone !

Hello! Welcome to the forums!

[color:"orange"]1/ What happens if I don't solve certains quests ? I have so many unsolved that I stop accepting new ones, unless I really need to.

I don't think there are any penalties for not solving quests aside from lost opportunities. Key quests will have to be completed to progress the story.

[color:"orange"]2/ They say you can team-up with an NPC. When does it occur ? How does it work ? Is it similar to D2 ?

There's an option to near the start of the game, but it is only temporary and (in my opinion) not of great benefit. There are also summonings that you can bring along with you.

[color:"orange"]3/ A cheap way to make fast money is to pick-up stuff at the military camp of General Alix & sell it to a merchant. I noticed that nobody stops me of doing this. Since I work for her, I have full access to the inventory.

Indeed! Whether I do this depends on my character. A dirty rotton thief will take advantage of this. A noble hero will only take what they need.

[color:"orange"]4/ Bows are powerful weapons that are easy to manipulate. Melee weapons with same damage asks for lots of strengh & dexterity. Bows only require dexterity. Also, you can runaway & then shoot, saving your hero from being hurt.

I've always been more of a fan of melee weapons over ranged. Also, a number of Warrior skills require melee weapons.

[color:"orange"]5/ Yesterday, I played from 10 AM to 9 30 PM (with a few short interludes). Boy that game is good or what ?

I'm going with... "good". Mmmm... addiction...

[color:"orange"]6/ I don't remember which one, but in a military camp, someone cursed some soldiers to become my ennemy. The only thing I could find is to reload my last save game since I cannot fight all those guys at once.

Why can't you take them all on? It makes for a good challenge! And they don't all run at you at once, they have to see you first, so you can section them off and defeat them gradually.

Glad to see you're enjoying it!

After you agree to do the army quests, you can loot the armoury there (south west of General Alix' headquarters), and pick up any loot dropped in the attack.

This is where your special move comes in. If you're a wizard, trade places until you can escape or fireball 'em all. Warriors can hack 'em with their whirlwind attack. Thieves can simply sneak out of dodge.

Well, I don't remember which level I was at the time. Don't forget it was (and still) the first time I play the game. I still need to get to know it.

Also, as I worked for the military, I thought it would be a good idea to NOT kill my "teammates" & get more trouble that I already had. It's a RPG you know. Killing everything is not always the only solution

So being whimp was not the main reason my friend. I could go & kill them (I'm level 24 now) but I do NOT want to do it. As simple as that.

BTW : I want to say thanks to everyone (even including SPIKENOX07 ) who took time to answer my questions. Lucky me, I'm now the "Lord Protector" of the "Divine One".

He may be a brat but it makes the game interesting, more like "real life". I'm having lots of fun playing it.

SACRED seems a cool game too, with the freedom to go where you want. (70 % eploration, 30 % quests/stories)

Hi !

Please explain : "....There's an option to near the start of the game"

What do you mean ? During gameplay or is it an option on the main menu?

True, I don't really need it but I'm just curious about Hirelings.

there are a couple of NPCs that team up with you.

the Zombie in the catacombs, and the Wishing well can give you one if you ask. also you can summon creatures. ie: death scorpions.

sorry about that last post. i was in a bad mood yesterday.

That's what I did to. But, to my dismay, in all the melee, I got killed.
Had to start over. After that, left it alone. I think I will go back to that camp and clean it up. (lvl 29 now.)
