Well, thanks to JustChris, here's a sample of the voice from the full version of BD:

dk.mp3 - 217kb

I have to admit I laughed when I first heard it. He is so agressive in a funny cartoony kind of way. However, I do think that it's an improvement over the old voice.

I like it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />
It is indeed better then the demo voice. Alot better even kind of reminds me of the tasmanian devil that I LOVE.

Great job <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />

Glad I could do something usefull before I head into work. (where I'll probably just be yawning a lot, instead =P )

Oh well, love it or hate it - at least the lurkers out there, who don't have the game yet, can make up their own minds now.

I hate it. It's a cartoon's voice <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/silly.gif" alt="" />
And he talks a lot too fast.

After reading the last Peek of the Week, it's evident that Larian needs to sell a very great number of copies of Beyond Divinity to continue to develop Divinity 2 and the secret project.

I understand that Larian tryed to satisfy the largest part of the gamers.
and i will buy the game even if i am disappointed, it's a great game.

Thank you! You documented the voice and the exact line where I shut the game off. After [color:"yellow"]"Ah.. you are awake!", I hit the escape button and killed the game. That is the voice that reminds me of [color:"green"]Kermit the Frog on [color:"red"]steroids!

[color:"yellow"]"I thought Samual had robed me of speach forever!". One could have only hoped.

Hey after thinking about it a bit more, it sounds like an [color:"red"]angry Barney from [color:"yellow"]The Simpsons. The drunk guy always at Moe's Tavern.

Ok, back to sleep. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/sleepey.gif" alt="" />

I also laughed out loudly when I heard it first. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ROFL.gif" alt="" />
well.. anyway looks like new DK voice is a little bit better than demo to me.

Lar, how about provide old DK voice by patch then let us choose one of two voices?

I think that would be a gigantic patch <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Anyways, this new voice completely changes the DK character. First he sounded like an evil character in a mysterious way. Now he just sounds like a big bully <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />.
However, it's not that bad, and he Kermit part is only the first second or so.

If I was Lar himself, I would rather offer a special gestus. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/badsmile2.gif" alt="" />

But since I'm not Lar ... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

No, I'm gonna need a few more lines before judging <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> --gotta see how it works in the game

I have to admit, I think it was just the first few lines that threw me. They sound out of character for someone trying to explain the game for you. But I turned the voices back on after I passed the point of the demo. I have to admit, the voice is perfect for terrifying little imps...

Thats probably his WORST sounding line you could have picked. He gets A LOT less annoying later on, its just that first line that sounds so bad. Can someone post a sample of him talking near the end of Act 1? Like in the drill area?

The old voice was rather sarcastic. This one sounds like something from pro wresting.

Who they needed for the voice of the Death Knight was the person who voiced The Guardian in Ultima 7.

I liked it. Seemed to match the character.

Great! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />

I was really worried about many people complaining about it. This is really good though.
