Please forgive me if this has been addressed elsewhere. I have been looking forward to purchasing BD for a while now. I had read a few recent reviews that stated that BD also came with a full version of DD. Do all boxes include both or only specially marked or online offers?

I stopped by my local retailer, looked the box over from head to toe, but could see nothing to indicate that both games were included. I would really like to get both games rather than buying the separate.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Some versions come with DD, some do not. I'm not sure if the box is marked if it does, but do recall some people mentioning getting that version in retail stores.
How was the weight of the box? BD is 2 CDs in a single jewel case (UK version is in a DVD case), while DD is 3 CDs in a double CD case.

If you search the general BD forum, there was a similarly named topic a week ago about this.

Yes, like Raze says, some versions contain DD. If this is the case, then that's clearly mentioned on the box. The doubled version isn't that widely spread however. You can get it in the Benelux and in the US, at some stores. Unfortunately I don't have names of these stores...

I got both games when I bought it. Didn't even realize it till I got home. I already had DD so it was sort of a waste. Anyways, DD comes with paper cd covers, not a case. The box was still pretty heavy though.

My pre-order copy from EB Games had it. I think that all the American versions do, but I could be wrong about that.

EB games in the U.S. gave both copies if you pre-ordered the game. The box is marked on the front with a disc type sticker saying Free inside DD.

Yep, that's correct!! That's who I pre-ordered <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" /> through. I wasn't expecting to get another copy of DD (nice surprise! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/party.gif" alt="" />). Now I can give it to my niece and nephew so they can play. Plus, it's one extra present I don't have to buy. (I know! I know! Aunt Faralas is a cheapie! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shhh.gif" alt="" />) <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" />

I also ordered the Fan Pack from Digital Jesters so I could have the soundtrack and novella. I'm looking forward to receiving both of them. Some of the game dialogue has cracked me up, to the point where I nearly sprayed soda on my monitor.

(Aunt Faralas is a slob, too!) <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />

I though I remembered someone in the other topic mentioned a double jewel case... oh well.

Raze, my version of DD came with paper jacket covers. I have a ton of jewel cases here at home anyway. I'll probably put my old set in those extra jewel cases and put the new set (from my BD box) into the original DD jewel case if I decide to part with them as a gift to my niece and nephew.

If they came with a special code number, I'll just paste it to the inside of the jewel case for them.

Thanks for all the help! The advertisement at http://www.ebgames.com still states "Includes a full copy of Divine Divinity!" so I ordered it from them. Hopefully that's still the case.

Now to see how long it takes the USPS to get it here <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Hmmmm, I pre-ordered mine so the day that EB got them in, I called to make sure that mine had been shipped. It had and I think it was 2-3 days later that the mailman delivered the game to my door. Hopefully, you'll have it in time for the weekend!

I'm hoping so. I've had a taste for some RPGing lately. It sounds like this should fit the bill nicely and provide many hours of enjoyment.

Thanks to everyone for having a great and kind attitude in this forum. It's refreshing to see a constructive and helpful community.

I got the US hip games beyond divinity.

DD came in the box in sleeves. Nowhere on the outside box is it mentioned that its included actually, although the box does mention divine divinity, it doesnt say anywhere "included in this box"
There are no instructions inside the box for it either.

edit I did buy it at EB games though, not preordered. So it might not be in every box out there I could have gotten the special order box. There should be a hip games site for the game to check....

I just got mine at Gamestop, in the store, and it had DD. So maybe it is all US stores.
