I was just wondering if the generation of holy water at the merchants has anything to do with your parties luck score? My hero has a luck of 83 and my DK has 55. Everything I've read here on the forum says it's random and very unlikely to find them for sale in the BF. Well, I just made a trip to the BF and found four of them, then went right back and bought five more. WOW.... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Woot. I've played a fair number of games my own self and often had good luck scores and never saw a single one there.

The Goddess of BD must have smiled on you that game (right Kiya?)

Reality is for those who cannot cope with fantasy. Fortunately, I can cope quite well.

IIRC, this is down to player luck, not character luck - so congratulations, you lucky person, you! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

i'd say it was luck too, as my highest character luck rating is 32.
i'm just about to head off to the alchemist lair and onto shaman (wondering if i'll hit 23rd level prior to act III???), and as you can see, i've already got 11 holy waters (to go along with the one perm int. potion).
i'm very hesitant to use them though as i'm already blasting through - and i've got 23 unused attribute points on DK and 25 unused on hero (along with lots of unused skills points).
you can also see that gold is NOT an issue. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" />
no, no hacks used. just playing with what was given.
holy waters

I'm intrigued ... how do you get such high stats without using the experience points?

My wife says I never listen to what she is saying. At least, I think that's what she said...

Charms

In my last game I had 29 Charm slots = 145 extra points.

Dear Lego,
I'm not sure if your offer is an insult - youyouyou Treehugger! Her int. is perfectly fine - Kiyana has killed all baddies in her usual way. Phh, who wants bowls anyway - it's for... errhm... well.. lucky people, bah!

I've been scared to use my one holy water. Tell me does it turn any charm into a gold charm?

kiy - i would NEVER insult you! ...though i can't wait to beat the living tar out of ya in act 3!!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ROFL.gif" alt="" /> (that is where you are isn't it??)

sky - the holy water will make a permanent potion when you are also carrying the correct alchemy plant(s) and have 4 levels in the
'survival/alchemy/extract' skill. no effect on charms. do a search in the forums for details.

grim, you're right. charms would be a great way to enhance your attributes even early in the game. but i haven't touched
mine yet charmless , and kiya can tell you that in DD i didn't use my charms 'til the last maybe 3-8% of the game - much the same
as raze reported (and where the heck is he hiding??!!??).
here's zan holy water2 standing next to the holy water. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
love the ebay thought grim! ha!!!

bravo, you must keep in mind that even though i'm not yet out of act 2, i have done (i think! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> ) everything! so even though i
have 5 levels of undistributed attribute points, i DO have 17 levels passed out! that's a whole lot of points.
note these examples of my 'base' attribute scores - base scores.
recognize i don't add attribute points to constitution (or intelligence for that matter) and very few to speed. my primary focus is
strength and agility with a secondary focus on survival.

also be aware of this, attribute points are effected (greatly) by what you're wearing too.
look at these individual items for both dk and zandurra . personally, i will always opt for the attribute gain
over the higher score of the item (ac of armor, damage of bow, sword, etc.).
don't disregard the 'speed', 'accuracy' and 'initiative' ratings! these are potentially very important. a bow may do more
damage, but have a minus 6 to speed where a lesser damage bow has a positive 6. this could be a BIG difference.

everyman - all holy waters (for me) found in act II BFs, except one for quest completion.

just for fun, these are without drinking any of the 'normal' potions, but drinking all the permanent potions (12) and distributing
my attribute points DK and zan
yeah, dk is using his alternate shield - alt items
not bad for the end of act 2 i would think! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/stupid.gif" alt="" /> (but no, i'll not be keeping it this way)

I found my load of holy water in act IV. Which I'm glad that it was so late, for balancing the game. I didn't use them until the final battle, it made beating the stuffing out of you know who very satisfying.

I saw some holy water in Act 2 but didn't know what it did and didn't buy it. I've been looking for it ever since. What does it look like? I've forgotten. I've been zipping in and out of the Act 4 BF looking for it, but I've been concentrating on potion type bottles. Someone here mentioned a bowl. Does it come in a bowl?

Its also very rare, I found it once at the arrow selling guy and the lady in green and white <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> (That was after switching 40 times~) So id say 1 holy water per 10 switches <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> although they cost 32k or 34k not sure about the price <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />
