Wow!! Has no one played Neverwinter Nights?

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those I had to kill, because they pissed me off.

I finaly got around to starting the game yesterday and i am very impressed so far, i also have the 1st add-on Shadows of Undrentide and i have been told by Mea Culpa here on the forums that i should get the 2nd expansion to get the best out of the whole experiance.
In my game i have been thru the Academy and iam now about to go to the Penninsula to sort out the escaped prisoners who are causing a slight problem there.

I’ve played it to many times to count it seems,
especially the second expansion HoTU.
Though it does seem, in HoTU, they mimicked a lot of BGII-SoA/ToB stuff.
Maybe that’s why I liked it so much.

Kiya: buy the Hordes of the Underdark expansion. Its pretty much the best.

I've heard there is even a DSA module out there (If you don't know what I mean, use the Search Function with the Keywords "Lost Kingdom" and read the text. Or go to http://www.thedarkeyerpg.com .

Yes Kiya,

HoTU is the best out of the whole NWN series.
A must get!

Hm, I lost the drive playing NWN - no clue why. Yes, I know: I had a wonderful thief-paladin in the original one - then I installed the 1st add-on and all my thief abilities were gone. So... I clenched my teeth and carried on, but she wasn't my char anymore, see?

I had been so terribly proud of this trick

Impressive ! Thief-Paladin ? I didn't know that was possible - must've been truly unique !

The only thing stopping Kiya from doing it again is just doing it.

Although in PnP a DM would frown on such a thing, but in the NWN series all one would have to do is build their character to meet the Paladin requirements. The Rogue will combine with almost any other the classes.
Sadly though she’d suffer an XP penalty for not taking one class to 20th level first.

So I like D&D.

well, i have. the oc was good, not as bad as others would have you believe. but to each his/her own, i guess. however, this much i can say: the first expansion, sou, was shorter and thus, more focused than the oc. but the 2nd xpac, hotu, was just outstanding. not only can you create epic characters, but the sheer combination of those epic ones is simply amazing. you'll fight memorable battles against worthy opponents, face off against an entire army, upgrade your weapons, learn epic feats & spells, meet someone from your past, learn about your true love, true names, etc., etc., etc. what more can you ask more from an adventure?

i don't know much about d&d rules as i just play d&d games and let the computer do the mechanics for me. i have never played a rogue in d&d games before, but i am aghast at the thought of such a build.

a rogue should never be lawful, while a pally is always and should be lawful. they should not mix and match.

btw kiya, this post is not aimed directly at your char but at the multiclassing that d&d rules allow. sometimes too much freedom is not a good thing.

cheers.

Sadly, if there is a way only the programmers at Bioware know and if you are also JadenWhisperblade at the Bioware forum, I apologize for how stinky those guys treated you there. There is absolutely no reason for how they treated you.

If you have the Manuals, and I know some of the Gold and Platinum Editions of the NWN series are missing the manuals, but again, if you have the manuals, all of the same info is there.

I truly wish I could help you more.

Take Care

Heh, I read that thread. What a bunch of a$$holes.
Sadly, I reckon the only way may be to constantly load up the same game over and over. Tedious but you'll read them all eventually. Don't worry, you'll get the hang of it eventually anyway.

Just like in DD when you load a new game or a save a little game tip shows at the bottom of the game screen and spick was wondering if there was a way to see all of the tips at once.

I’m also a member on the Bioware forum and I found a post from JadenWhisperblade requesting the same information, but the members on the Bioware forum treated JadenWhisperblade badly. They were being jerks.
