Will you still think so when I've got 2 extra in charisma, interligence and constitution. Not to forget 8 in strenght... (HOLY CRAP, 8 IN STRENGHT! ESPESSIALLY CONSIDERING THIS A FIGHTER!!! You know, I will have all those mean hard hitting feats that requires lots of conc and strenght (like devastateing chritticals...) so think again...)(Typical, this will turn into a duell between my char and Spicks char ).

Ain't that always the way Kyra_NY, in the begining you need every coin you can scrape up, then all of a sudden there comes a point in the game that you just collect it thru habit.
I managed to get a couple of Special Swords made by that Half pint of a Blacksmith yesterday, and good swords they are too, 500 coins a piece though, blinkin' rip off Merchant , still....got you over a barrell though ain't he.

Well, I kill impossible foes easilly so he shouldn't be a problem (I was supprized how easilly I killed the main monster in the Beggars nest, since when I looked at it it was supposed to be impossible. She had bigger troubles hitting us, than we hitting her, AND we hit harder (by we I meen me and my henchman)).

I've found the Bosses fairly routine so far also, the only one who gave me a descent fight was the Snake woman thingy, but after smashing the altar i did her in the end.

Spick: I didn't smash the altar...

And to my question: Is it smart to forge a wepond this early in the game? Since I've got the components to a Harlequin Great Sword (I think it's called), it takes a magical great sword and a admartine. My sword is +1, and I've suspect I will run into better greatswords than that, and so I wonder if I will ever run into an adamartine again, or if I can do anything better with it that add 2 firedamage to a greatsword with it (and a little if 2 firedmg is that good, since I suspect it's not).

There will be better stuff later, but having that upgraded Great Sword now,
is going to help you a lot.

Besides, by the time you get to the better things, you are going to have so much gold you won’t know what to do with it.

Get the sword.

Blimey idont believe I actually missed this whole thread however when you gits out there get really bored and wanna enter the "real" world of NWN come and visit me at my mansion in Alboria under Multiplayer>Join internet game > PW action> Alboria (The Bottled World) or just type into the direct connect box www.alboria.dynu.com and look for Mea Culpa round about the time of this post you will find me there most days/nights depending what part of the world your from

Oh and for the Combat wombats (tanks) out there you can not beat the combination of Monk18/Sorc8/RDD14 trust me specially if you take care in choosing the right class to lvl for the bonus feats

Erm, from time to time I get drained. For example: the first "boss" drained my inteligence, and I got -1 to interligence. Now there is a quite critical room who is trapped, and the trap is level drain... Is there a way to get rid of these drains?

get Aribeth to cure you or use a Restoration potion or scroll also see if you can buy a belt of guiding light (greater variety would be better but not that easy to get)

Oh a Belt of Guiding Light (depending on the variety "lesser, standard or Greater) gives you a lot of death Magic protection but there are also other items available for level, ability drain effects just look and read the description Cloak of Blackflame comes to mind a bone ring amon a few but the easiest way is a potion or a scroll after the problem

Oi mea! What's the point of the RDD 14? 1 bonus feat? My Dragon Monkerer had more sorc levels for spells but I guess its a matter of taste.

Gotta go.

But the main issue is the base stats (or abilities, as they tend to call it).

Any tips on what they should look like, and why they should look that way (and are you supposed to die all the time in the academy? Somehow it doesn't feel right).

YUP base abilities is what counts if you look at the stats when generating a character they will tell what they are good for, for example take strength if you put your ability at15 it would waste a bonus damage point cause you get +2 at 14 and + 3 at 16 so it would be better to put that at 14 even if you only get a +2, then put an extra point in say INT which will give you extra skill points and if you are a wizard or rogue even better but if you are a Fighter you may want all your ability points in say STR and CON cause that would help with you damage bonus and your HP when you lvl up, andsoforth have a look at Neverwinter Vault and you will find lotsa answers Heh tellem Mea sent you (which wont help much but it sounds good )

Yup taste heh, I was talking about a "Tank" and trust me having a few lvls of Sorc more wouldn't be any better then another feat of Epic Prowess

4 more sorc lvls=IGMS. Only 12x2D6 magic damage but I like it for those physically resistant gits. I only PvM though.

On the 'tank' line of things it means getting empowered endurance too.

Basically 4x4D4 (4-16) HP + a possible extra 40 hp (lvl 40) or a straight bonus of 4x4D12 (4-48). I'd go for the endurace. Its a flat number. Gives a possible max of 56. (or 34-46 HP at lvl 30 which is what I get to at the end of HoTU)

Empowered Bull's Str will make up for the BAB difference too. Believe me, I've tried it.
