hotu did indeed bring a lot of changes to the game. some skills were made class skills for some chars., new prestige classes with different abillities., etc.

Update on how i'm doing in SoU.....just cleared the Elvin Crypt in Hilltop Foothills and decided to keep the Mummy Hand!! is that a bad thing?...i am playing as a Lawful Evil Fighter so i thought it would be good to do something evil like keeping the hand. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" />

I am finally lvl 11 in that castle in Chairwood. Lots of undead. Tough monsters. I have that curse cast on me all the time. As a result of tht I get constitution decreased. What cures that? Those slaads suck.

Now I have a dilemma. Go into 1 lvl rogue and get haste (from that armor) which is very nice. OR go ahead with wizard and get 2 lvl 6 spells: I can get either archon (planar binding) or tiger - please advise who's better and is chain lightning good? Actually I'd like to upgrade my companion, but fast running from monk armor can be very helpful. HEELP! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Me neither, I never use magic in a game unless its for basic healing. It's hack hack hack for me!

I must reinstall this game sometime. Wouldn't mind having the expansions but they are still too pricy for a mere expansion, or you can't get it with the full game, which I have already.

Tynan is the name of the baby you saved.
You could have kept him for yourself and told his mother Nora that Adam and Tynan are alive and well waiting for her inside the house. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devil.gif" alt="" />

For an evil character there's an Easter Egg in HotU if you kept Tynan. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devil.gif" alt="" />

I never had the heart to do this myself, but plenty of others have.

Restoration, maybe lesser restoration pots and scrolls. They can be used by any class.



My picks at level 6 spells:

1) Isaacs greater missile storm. (there are no scrolls for this in the OC)
2) Chain lightning. Pretty destructive. Especially empowered.

I'd get the level 6 spells first. They make certain battles a easier. There's one a-hole in particular in chapter 2. (another in chapter 2 finale too)

Glad your opinion is the same as mine. I was waiting and waiting and waiting for your reply and finally took chain lightning, summon lvl 6 monster (I prefered it to planar binding because it lasts longer and I think you get better exp with it. Binding is much deadlier though). I will go with rogue a bit later or maybe even stay pure wiz. because, finally, I can find plenty of speed drinking potions and cast haste.
But now I can say that thanks to good build up my wiz can really kick things. He can kill anything quickly. Yes in a long run his batteries run out fast and he needs continuous and undesturbable rest, but when he faces tough enemy he can just unleash fury of his deadliest spells and watch them burn <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" />

Just got the Harts Horn for Ferran, but guess what??...i didn't give it to him, i killed him instead, got more XP that way. It took some time to find the White Stag though!

You can make Magic items with Shadow Harts Heart and Horns, as long as you have the other ingredients too.

I never had the Heart to kill Shadow Hart and I never had the heart to let the wife die so I chased away Shadow Hart and then Spawned in the Horns.
Cheating, I know, but my conscience felt good.

Nope but I can Imagine it would be as I have several chracters on a PW that are Monk Sorc RDD's and they are insane .... must try a PM/Monk sounds like a bluddy good idea <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
