Geography wasn't my top subject... Vietnam WASN'T an island...

But then... What island is he referring to? (Africa...)

A deserted island...beyond that it doesn't matter where or what it's called. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />

Erm... Sweden isn't an island... Geography might not be my best subject, but I know THAT much... And about Africa not being an island, that's completely up to how you deffinate an island.

island. n. a body of land surrounded by water.

The continent of Africa has connections to Europe and Asia (via the Middle East), hence it is not surrounded by water.

Collectively, Africa, Europe and Asia could be one island, but Africa on it's own is not.

Hey, come back on topic. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" /> What about the one-armed guy on the bus?

By the way, they have been on a real island. A small one. Not Africa-Asia-Europe or so.

Erm... I don't really remember the main puzzle anymore... Maybe he should give us the answer (in a spoiler tag, just to be shure...)

This one has died and the interest is gone.

Here is the answer
<span class='standouttext'>Spoiler : </span><span class='spoiler'>
Several men were shipwrecked together.
They agreed to survive by eating each other a piece at a time.
Each of them in turn gave up an arm, but before they got to the last man, they were rescued.
They all demanded that the last man live up to his end of the deal.
Instead, he killed a bum and sent the bum's arm to the others in a box to "prove" that he had fulfilled the bargain.
Later, one of them sees him on the subway, holding onto an overhead ring with the arm he supposedly cut off; the other realizes that the last man cheated, and kills him.
</span>

Easy wasn't it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" />

Can everyone say thank you Plowking? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ROFL.gif" alt="" />

Yes, that's definitely one of the less realistic stories. I've never understood why the others insisted on the poor guy cutting his arm off, too. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/puppyeyes.gif" alt="" />

Sorry, have been away!

Yeah it's a weird one for sure! All these kind of 'puzzles' are though. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/delight.gif" alt="" />
