Shan: Well i got upto level 8 in one day...the reason being ...i got lost and ended up killing loads of cliff racers(i hate them....their a pain).
I could have retraced my steps yet i wanted to find aother village...such was my desperation in my quest that that my axe/heavy armor skill increased alot due to entense fighting.

I managed to finish out that cave in Syed and killed everythng in it...but now im begining to realise something...i cant carry all the equipment... and im thinking that i should play it like daiblo(sorry for metioning it again) i.e take only the most vaulable items but im not sure...moneywise im doing very well....nearly 2500 gold.

I dont have the expansion set so i cant relate to that experience im afraid.
I sometimes find that i cant even see the enemy...some places are so dark.
One thing i have realised thugh is that if you move sightly when attacking...either the mouse or side to side you are more likely to cause damage to an enemy.

Also some random enemies regenerate(nix hounds, rats)
Therefore if you are slighlty attacking wise like me...then all you need to do is visit these places again and so you will always have a bit of action and increasing combat (for me) keeps me engrossed.

Myster:

I said that i find the names too similar...i didnt say you said that.

Silt riders are good but at the same time not all towns have them....
I am not sure about joining the mages guild becuase i want to preogress as far as i can in the fighters guild.

Thanks for the advance info though...it makes sense in a way

A few bugs i have encountered:

Sometimes when i wander around i notice that my map goes black and so i have stopped playing and re-loaded a previous game in fear of losing my map(which i think is necessery).
Now my question is must i re-load every time or can i carry on playing hoping tha my map will re-appear?

Thanks

I know that you didn't speak on my behalf!

I said "I didn't," which was meaning that I'm saying that I didn't get confused period.

I should've been clearer. My fault there.

Right. I think that did that to get you to try and explore.

Oh, that's right --- if you join more than one guild and get high up, there can be trouble.

*a gush of wind blows by and Virgo appears out of nowhere as usual*

if your talking about the fog of war not being uncovered sometimes when you looking at your map.....then no don't worry about it just a small bug...which bugs me too....however it won't ruin your game so need not worry .you might notice some blots of darkness that you can't uncover because of this bug

i've have a theory that this is caused by game lag loading different areas and such im not certain.....i think i've seen it go away to(being able to uncover an area of darkness previously uncoverable)

Back to original stuff, I just got my PC Gamer magazine, had lost it under a stack of mail a week or so ago, dammit.

But intresting article. I can't wait, looks great.

haha i too saw mine laying on the floor (which turned out to be my last issue gah thats why i don't have a cd) as if it was fate that i would look here and then find the magazine and open it up. Now im even more excited for the coming years ahead... rest assured im setting aside money in a jar for this game.

looks like i'll have to make room in the backyard for another shrine, right next to the Rome Total War and Statues

Voice actors of morrowind.

Patrick Stewart
Sean Bean (Boromir Lord Of The Rings.)
Terrence Stamp (ZOD *you must now kneel*)

Impressive to say the least

I saw the 20 minute long "illegal" DVD of gameplay. It looks great ( You can still download them from certain sites I believe)

oblivion will be much better then morrowind (and I loved morrowind). one major flaw of morrowind were the NPCs, they werent very dynamic, now they have their own lives and dont just stand there to please whatever you are doing. they will sleep and have certain goals the accomplish( like eating and stuff). because they sleep it will also be very handy for thiefs, so they can sneak in the houses. also NPCs will communicate with each other, so a very lifely world it will be. The combat has been changed too, its more controlled by the player (Blocking,..) and it is not affectend by the invisible dice anymore, If you stand toe to toe with somebody and you swing your sword, it will hit the opponent ( like in real life) so no more chance to hit. damage is reflected by player stats and skill. You can also interact with every object in the game (throw an apple or something like that to create a diversion to sneak past certain foes) again increasing the realism. their will be fast travel and a quest compass so you will know where the interesting stuff is, so now you dont have to endlessly search for something. and you will be able to ride horses (no mounted combat though) so again there will be faster ways of travelling. I could go on and on, but I wont

Oblivion promises to be a great game! and I think it will. To bad my pc cant handle the graphic beauty

i saw it too, looks gr8, though its bad that we can t have mounted combat

and theres gonna be instant traveling to much of the more important places.

I like the throwing around option, bit like dd

you could but it wouldnt work .

Elders scrolls 4 is called a "next gen game" that means awesome graphics, AI en probably gameplay. But you'll need the next gen console wherefore its made or a hella good pc I probably need a better graph card and more memory

It's my sister's birthday. I'll give her Oblivion as a present! She'll look mad, throw it in my face and tell me to bugger off, which I'll then gladly do

Is that the officiall releasedate, or just for preorderers?

No matter what, I will be in school til lunch, when I will go home and check if there's a torrent up (I'm a bit doubtfull about this game, so buying it directlly is not an option really). Two hours later I go play piano, then I'll go home. If there wasn't a torrent up I check for a torrent again. If it's still not up, I'll check on Tuesday (and so on and so on).
